Shailene Woodley comes out against unrealistic s** scenes where women keep their bras on
Shailene Woodley, the 29-year-old actor who has never shied away from frank depictions of sexuality throughout her film and television career, opened up about her preference for realistic s** scenes over more modest displays in her new Hollywood Reporter cover profile published on Friday.
She shared that one of her pet peeves is when female actors are covered up while making love in ways they likely wouldn’t be in real life.
Woodley admitted that oftentimes in movies, women keep their bras on during s** scenes, and in real life, she had never done that except very rarely.
The “Big Little Lies” star is committed to naturalism and has no issues appearing n^de on camera when she thinks it’s the right choice for the scene.
However, she makes those determinations after chatting with her director and co-stars.

They always have conversations regarding how the scenes will be shot and whether n^dty is necessary or not.
For example, in last year’s indie romantic drama “Endings, Beginnings,” Woodley played a woman in a love triangle with characters played by Jamie Dornan and Sebastian Stan.
The film’s director, Drake Doremus, praised her lack of self-consciousness and said that she owns her sexuality in a way that’s just so liberating and magical.
He also added that she’s chill, easy, present, thoughtful, kind, and humble, unlike many actors.
Woodley’s technique is to focus on what a character doesn’t want to reveal, whether in s** scenes or fully clothed moments.
She’s always fascinated with what a person is giving to her on the surface and what is behind their eyes because there are so many things that we don’t allow other people to see.
Woodley did not only talk about her preference for realistic s** scenes but also opened up about her engagement to Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
She said that they hoped to live in their “little bubble” for as long as possible and only went public with their engagement so they could stay on top of the news.
They wanted to be the first to announce it.
Woodley also revealed that when they announced their engagement, they had already been engaged for months but didn’t want someone else to do it before them.
Even after the announcement, they didn’t rush to share more details about their relationship.
The reaction was really a lot, and so they wanted to politely decline talking about their relationship for a little while and live in their little bubble.
In conclusion, Woodley is a great example of an actor who isn’t afraid to take risks and go bold in her performances, including intimate scenes.
She believes that portraying realistic s** scenes can add depth and authenticity to the story.
And like any other person, she values her privacy and wants to keep some aspects of her life private, especially her relationship with Rodgers.
