Carly Simon’s memoir, Boys in the Trees, reveals that she was almost part of a s**ual encounter with James Bond actor, Sean Connery.

In August 1965, Carly and her sister Lucy were sailing from London to New York on the S.S. United States.

During this time, they sent a note to Connery expressing their admiration for his work, which led to an invitation for drinks with him.

The following night, Connery proposed a threesome with the sisters in his stateroom.

Carly was just 20 years old at the time, and her sister Lucy was 22, while Connery was 35 and married to actress Diane Cilento.

Despite referring to the proposal as a ‘Simon sisters sandwich,’ Carly politely declined the offer.

However, her sister Lucy went to see Connery in his room the following night and did not return until 5:15 am the next morning.

Upon discovering that her sister had spent the night with Connery, Carly ended their musical act, The Simon Sisters, when they arrived home in New York.

At the time, Carly was in a relationship with British writer Willie Donaldson, who she later became engaged to until he jilted her.

Carly is just one of many famous women who have shared stories about Warren Beatty in their memoirs.

In Boys in the Trees, Carly writes about a night of passion she shared with Beatty, confirming that her most famous song, You’re So Vain, is indeed about him.

However, she shares that only one verse of the song is about Beatty, while the other two verses are about other men she had relationships with over the years.

During her marriage to James Taylor, Carly had a son and a daughter.

She still lives in the house they shared in Martha’s Vineyard but says that Taylor has not spoken to her in many years.

Carly writes that she still loves Taylor, but she has come to realize that love does not have to be a two-way street.

Shortly before she married Taylor, Carly fell for Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger while recording You’re So Vain in London.

However, she refrained from having s** with him as it would have cooled things off between them.

Boys in the Trees is set to be released on Tuesday and includes many more stories about Carly’s famous encounters with men such as Connery, Beatty, and Taylor.

While Connery’s proposal may have been scandalous at the time, Carly’s memoirs offer an intimate look into the lives of some of Hollywood’s most iconic stars.
