“Scarlett, you can’t go n^ked”: Scarlett Johansson and Michael Bay Had a Fight Over Her “Cheap As* Bra” Before Love Scene With Ewan McGregor
Scarlett Johansson, the Black Widow actress, has once again found herself in the midst of controversy.

He expressed his frustration with having to deal with similar demands from actors in the past.
He said, “The famous [story is the] director gets called to the actress’s trailer before she is called to do the love scene.
How many times have I had to say, ‘Come on, come out.
You look beautiful,’ etc.
And I get a call from the assistant director.
‘She needs to see you.’ And I’m like, ‘Oh, god.
Here we go.'”
Despite most stars objecting to onscreen nudity, Johansson wanted to walk to the bed n^ked.
Bay revealed that Johansson refused to leave her trailer until he met her demands.
McGregor praised Johansson for her determination and how she handled the situation.
He said, “She’s together and wise about the whole thing,” also referring to her as “quite a tough cookie.”
The Island, which grossed $162.9 million worldwide, was considered a box office bomb, mostly condemned for its poor publicity.
Edward Jay Epstein of Slate criticized the movie, expressing that it wasn’t the directing, acting, or the story that failed, what truly failed was the marketing campaign.
Johansson has continued to express strong opinions on her love scene with McGregor.
She previously narrated that McGregor kissed like a 16-year-old schoolboy.
The actress, who was much younger than McGregor during the 2005 film, explained why she wanted to walk out n^ked.
She said, “I’m not [expletive] wearing this bra!
This cheap-*ss bra!
OK?
I’m going n^ked.
Who wakes up wearing a bra?
It doesn’t happen.”
Bay, on the other hand, expressed that he was ready to shoot the love scene with both Johansson and McGregor, but it couldn’t be done without clothing as the movie had to be PG-13.
Johansson has been vocal about her pain of being “groomed and highly sexualized” in her early career.
However, she has continued to offer unconditional support to Woody Allen, who once described a young Johansson as “s**ually radioactive” in his memoir.
The Island (2005) is available for streaming on Netflix.
Despite the film’s lackluster reception, Johansson and McGregor’s performances were praised.
Johansson has since gone on to become one of the most successful actresses in Hollywood, with numerous critically acclaimed roles under her belt.
Bay, on the other hand, has faced criticism for his directing style and treatment of actors on set.
