Sarah Palin calls Lena Dunham a ‘pedophile’

On Thursday, Sarah and Bristol Palin slammed Lena Dunham and the media, with Sarah labelling Dunham a “pedophile” and attacking the media for concentrating on Josh Duggar’s latest molestation disclosures rather than Dunham.

“Hey Lena, why not laugh off everyone’s sexual ‘experiments’ as you haughtily enjoy the rewards of your own perversion? You pedophile, you,” Palin says in a Facebook post on the media’s portrayal of the Duggar family, hosts of TLC reality show 19 Kids and Counting.

“I’m not defending the Duggar boy’s obvious wrongdoing over a decade ago. The main victim in any story like this isn’t the perpetrator, it’s the innocent ones so harmfully affected,” Palin continued. “I’m not an apologist for any sexual predator, but I’m sickened that the media gives their chosen ones a pass for any behavior as long as they share their leftwing politics. Case in point, they suggest Lena Dunham’s sexual assault on her sibling is cute, and she’s rewarded for it with fame and fortune. Meanwhile, they crucify another, along with an entire family.”

Palin begins her piece by criticizing Dunham, who recounted in her best-selling 2014 book “Not That Kind of Girl” some sexual conduct directed at her younger sister when she was seven years old. The actress claims she once tried to pay her sister to kiss her, peered into her sibling’s genitalia, and masturbated next to her on another occasion. Although her confessions were contentious at the time, few people thought to compare them to the actions of an alleged abuser publicly.

Josh Duggar’s parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, claim their son fondled four of his sisters and a family caregiver as a teenager and confessed to them. Josh Duggar has issued an apology for unspecified inappropriate actions.

“The media’s hell-bent mission to go after the entire Duggar family for one member’s wrongdoing, while giving a total pass to perverted actions of someone like Lena Dunham—or any other leftwinger celeb caught doing awful things,” Palin said of the media’s treatment of Dunham and the Duggars.

She also applauded her daughter, Bristol Palin, for “having the guts” to write a blog post criticizing “radical liberals in the media.”

In a blog post on Thursday, Palin’s daughter Bristol expressed a similar sentiment, comparing the media’s obsession with the Duggars to the “big fat yawn they gave Lena Dunham when she wrote in her book that she sexually experimented with her sister.” Although Bristol acknowledges that Josh touching his younger sisters is a “terrible thing to do,” she questions the reality star’s pedophilia label and the scrutiny his family has faced. She stated, “Liberals in today’s media can do no wrong, while conservatives can do no right.”

The excerpts:

Recently a website called Truth Revolt published this excerpt about a 7-year-old Lena and her 1-year-old sister Grace.

“Do we all have uteruses?” I asked my mother when I was seven.

“Yes,” she told me. “We’re born with them, and with all our eggs, but they start out very small. And they aren’t ready to make babies until we’re older.” I look at my sister, now a slim, tough one-year-old, and at her tiny belly. I imagined her eggs inside her, like the sack of spider eggs in Charlotte’s Web, and her uterus, the size of a thimble.

“Does her vagina look like mine?”

“I guess so,” my mother said. “Just smaller.”

One day, as I sat in our driveway in Long Island playing with blocks and buckets, my curiosity got the best of me. Grace was sitting up, babbling and smiling, and I leaned down between her legs and carefully spread open her vagina. She didn’t resist and when I saw what was inside I shrieked.

My mother came running. “Mama, Mama! Grace has something in there!”

My mother didn’t bother asking why I had opened Grace’s vagina. This was within the spectrum of things I did. She just got on her knees and looked for herself. It quickly became apparent that Grace had stuffed six or seven pebbles in there. My mother removed them patiently while Grace cackled, thrilled that her prank had been a success.

And then Glamour pulled this quote.

‘As she grew, I took to bribing her time and affection: one dollar in quarters if I could do her makeup like a “motorcycle chick.” Three pieces of candy if I could kiss her on the lips for five seconds. Whatever she wanted to watch on TV if she would just “relax on me.” Basically, anything a sexual predator might do to woo a small suburban girl, I was trying.’
