Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew: Unveiling Their Unconventional Life Together at Royal Lodge

Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew, despite their divorce in 1996, have managed to maintain a strong bond and continue living together at Andrew’s Windsor House while Sarah is in the UK.

Currently, Sarah is recovering from a single mastectomy after being diagnosed with breast cancer.

During this time, her ex-husband Prince Andrew, along with their two daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, have been by her side, offering support and love.

The Duchess of York still resides at the Royal Lodge in Windsor with Andrew whenever she is in the UK.

Surprisingly, Sarah insists that they are the happiest divorced couple in the world.

Representatives for the Duchess have confirmed that she is currently recovering at home after her surgery, and she has chosen to stay with Andrew, despite their separation 27 years ago.

Sarah and Andrew tied the knot in 1986 and initially experienced great happiness.

However, the demands of the Prince’s naval career meant he had to spend extended periods away from home.

Sarah once shared in an interview, “My deal was to marry my man, who happened to be a prince and a navy officer.

But what I got isn’t the man, I got the Royal Family, and I didn’t get my man.

For our marriage, I saw him 40 days a year.”

The couple’s relationship began to crumble, leading to their divorce in 1992.

Rumors circulated that Fergie was having an affair with Steve White, a close friend who supported her during a particularly difficult time.

Shortly after the split, another scandal emerged when photos surfaced of Sarah on vacation with her financial advisor and boyfriend, John Bryan, engaging in toe-sucking.

As a result, she faced estrangement from the Royal Family for many years.

Queen Elizabeth issued a statement at the time, stating, “Last week, lawyers representing the Duchess of York began discussions about the official separation of the Duke and Duchess.

These discussions are not over yet, and nothing will be said until they are over.”

The couple finalized their divorce in 1996.

However, over time, relations between Sarah and the Royal Family have significantly improved.

She has continued to stand by Andrew’s side as they co-parent their children and enjoy being grandparents together.

Since 2008, whenever Sarah is in the UK, she stays at the Royal Lodge.

However, she doesn’t consider it her home, as she explained in an interview with the Sunday Times.

“I travel a lot and have always been able to do it wherever I am.

If I’m at home, I stay at a hotel.

I have the same family photos and scented candles around me.

When I’m in the UK, I’m lucky enough to stay at the Royal Lodge.

I wouldn’t call it my home because that would be rude.”

Sarah’s recent diagnosis has brought about significant changes in her life.
