Sandra Bullock talks filming n-ked scene with Ryan Reynolds

Actress Sandra Bullock has recently shared some details about the iconic nude scene she had with Ryan Reynolds in the 2009 film The Proposal, directed by Anne Fletcher.

In an interview with Adam Ray on the About Last Night podcast, Bullock said she only agreed to the scene on the condition that it would be played for laughs and that Reynolds made her feel safe.

“Ryan and I have known each other since we were prepubescent,” she said, “We go way, way, way back.”

She also revealed that she had no intention of trying to look s**y during the scene.

“There’s just no point in it! It was for that reason, with a friend that you trusted comedically, and safety-wise I knew I was in the presence of safety,” Bullock explained.

The actress further discussed how the scene was shot on a closed set, where only essential personnel were present.

Bullock then went on to explain how the scene was filmed.

“Ryan and I have these flesh-colored things stuck to our privates, my hair is strategically over the nipples, and Ryan’s little—not little, at all!

It’s just whatever’s there, and I don’t know because I didn’t see it, I didn’t look!” she said.

Bullock also shared a particularly embarrassing moment that occurred during filming.

“I hear Anne Fletcher from the darkness go, ‘Ryan, we can see your ball sack!’ I’m like, ‘Oh God!’ because you wanna look down, but I’m like, ‘Don’t look down.

Don’t look down,’” she recounted. Despite this, Bullock praised Reynolds’ professionalism and ease throughout the entire shoot.

“Ryan was just so cool. Unflappable. He is absolutely unflappable.”

The Proposal was a hit with audiences, grossing over $317 million worldwide.

Bullock played Margaret Tate, a Canadian editor who is about to be deported, while Reynolds played her assistant, Andrew Paxton.

The film received mixed reviews from critics but was generally praised for the chemistry between the two leads.

In her interview, Bullock also touched on her history of working with Reynolds, including their roles in the 2002 film Two Weeks Notice.

She recalled that after the first time they worked together, “We kind of got together and were like, ‘We just have a good rapport.’”

Bullock, who is known for her roles in Miss Congeniality and Gravity, has been in the entertainment industry since the 1980s.
