Salma Hayek shares bold swimsuit photo on her birthday

It was Salma Hayek’s birthday, but it was her Instagram fans who got a present when the 55-year-old actress shared a sexy selfie in a brilliant blue swimming suit.

The “Frida” actress shared the photo of herself in a bright blue bathing suit on a tropical beach on Instagram on Thursday. She expressed her gratitude for her life in her caption.

“Happy 55th birthday to me 💃🏻 looking forward to new adventures #grateful,” Hayek captioned the photo.

Many celebrities, including Jason Momoa, Richard Madden, Pierce Brosnan, and British Vogue EIC Edward Enninful, went to the comments section to wish Hayek a happy birthday.

Hayek posted a selfie from her trip with blue ocean, palm trees, and overwater villas in the backdrop a few days before her birthday. She just wrote “#sundayvibes” and “#domingo” in the caption.

The Mexican-born actor appears to be making it an annual practice to publish a seaside snapshot of herself on her birthday. She celebrated her 54th birthday last year with a gorgeous photograph of herself standing in a yellow costume in front of water at an unidentified location.

Hayek revealed her technique to aging gracefully during a June episode of Red Table Talk. She stated that a woman’s age should not be viewed as a barrier.

“There’s no expiration dates for women. That has to go. Because you can kick ass at any age. You can hold your own at any age, you can dream at any age, you can be romantic at age,” she said.

Hayek continued: “We have the right to be loved for who we are at the place that we are. We’re not just here to make babies, we’re not just here to baby the man. We’re not just here to service everything and everyone around us and then when the kids go away … it’s almost like expiration date for you as a woman. It’s a misunderstanding that has been going around for centuries.”

Hayek said that one of the most astonishing aspects of menopause was that her breasts grew bigger.

“The boobs grow a lot,” she said. “For some women they get smaller. But there are some women that when you gain weight, your boobs grow, and other women that when you have children and you breastfeed your boobs grow and they don’t go back down, and then in some of the cases when you are in menopause they grow again. And I just happen to be one of those women where it happened in every, single step!”
