Royal Rumblings: The Princess of Wales’ Mysterious Absence

It’s been five long months since the Princess of Wales was last spotted in public, and the British media are left scratching their heads.

With King Charles recently honoring Catherine with the Order of the Garter on St. George’s Day, one might expect a flurry of interest in her well-being.

Yet, the press seems hesitant to delve into the future Queen’s current state at Kensington Palace, leaving a void that begs to be filled.

The Order of the Garter, while prestigious, holds a different significance for commoners compared to royal family members.

It’s more of a ceremonial title for them than a genuine accolade.

If Charles had truly wanted to convey his esteem for Catherine, he would have awarded her something more substantial.

Instead, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh were left feeling snubbed, receiving no honors at all.

In contrast, the Duchess of Gloucester was elevated to Lady of the Order of the Garter, and Camilla received the Order of the British Empire.

Meanwhile, Prince William stepped into the role of Great Master of the Order of the Bath.

Despite the absence of official commentary on how Catherine feels about her latest honor, the Daily Mail has taken it upon itself to highlight the close bond between her and King Charles.

Columnists have penned numerous pieces emphasizing how much the King values his daughter-in-law, portraying her as the daughter he never had.

Their shared struggles have brought them closer, and they recently enjoyed a heartfelt dinner together before Catherine addressed the public about her health issues.

Insiders suggest that Catherine played a pivotal role in mending the relationship between Charles and William.

Her decision to reside in Adelaide Cottage in Windsor was reportedly motivated by a desire to keep the King connected with his grandchildren.

However, a couple of years back, whispers indicated that the Wallaces wished to be closer to the Queen, which supposedly influenced their move to Windsor.

Given that Charles lives in Clarendon House, these narratives seem more like convenient tales than reality.

Interestingly, it has come to light that the Order of the Garter bestowed upon Catherine was also a nod to her 13th wedding anniversary with William.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been that long since she joined the royal family.

The couple tied the knot on April 29, 2011, at Westminster Abbey, but royal watchers are now reluctant to speculate on whether new photos of the couple will ever surface again.

In 2021, the couple celebrated their tenth anniversary with some romantic, albeit heavily retouched, images.

This year, however, is different.

It’s not an anniversary year, and considering Catherine’s current health challenges, it seems unlikely that she would agree to any photo sessions.

The first signs that something was amiss came earlier this year when no birthday photograph of the Princess was released on January 9, sparking rumors of her condition.

Currently, the official narrative states that Catherine is undergoing treatment, which explains her extended absence from royal engagements.

However, many remain skeptical of this explanation, particularly given her complete withdrawal from public life.

Reports indicate that the couple’s children are being cared for by Catherine’s mother, Carole Middleton, yet even she has been noticeably absent from the scene.

The anticipated titles for Catherine’s parents have yet to materialize.

Friends of the Middletons have hinted at the possibility of them becoming the Earl and Countess of Bucklebury, but royal expert Daniela Elser suggests that this is unlikely.

The informal consensus seems to be that they simply don’t hold enough significance to warrant such titles, especially considering that Camilla’s relatives never received any honors either.

While it remains theoretically possible for the Middletons to be granted titles, it would be an unprecedented move.

When Catherine married Prince William, Queen Elizabeth II conferred upon them the titles of Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Thus, the likelihood of her parents receiving similar honors appears slim, with everything hinging on the rules surrounding peerages.

As for what the future holds for Catherine and her family, it’s anyone’s guess.

The maximum she could do for her relatives upon ascending the throne would be to appoint her mother and sister as ladies-in-waiting, much like Camilla did for her sister Annabelle.

However, the timeline for these potential changes remains uncertain, leaving everyone in the dark about the royal family’s next chapter.
