Rosario Dawson’s Full frontal in ‘Trance’ was non-negotiable

The full-frontal sequence in Rosario Dawson’s forthcoming thriller ‘Trance’ was necessary and hence was not negotiable.

According to the New York Post, the 33-year-old actress, who dated Boyle after he directed her in the film but recently split up with him, was fully aware of what was expected of her character before she ever auditioned for the job.

She also discussed the tough negotiations to go full-frontal in the thriller on Tuesday. Dawson remarked during the party, “I knew that I would have to deal with it before I even auditioned,” Dawson said at the party. “It was non-negotiable, it was necessary . . . My lawyer and I had this whole moment where we had to talk about [detailed parts of the female anatomy] for the nudity clause and you think, ‘Is this happening?’ It’s kind of wild.”

Rosario spoke about how she had to make sure she was prepared to go nude – in more ways than one – at the Cinema Society screening of the film in Los Angeles yesterday night.

In “Trance” the actress co-stars with James McAvoy as hypnotherapist Elizabeth.

Director Danny Boyle, Vincent Cassel, Patrick Stewart, Josh Lucas, Emma Watson, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen, Zosia Mamet, Jemima Kirke, Lou Reed, Norman Reedus, Debbie Harry, Paul Haggis, Cindy Sherman, and Marina Abramovic were all present at the Montblanc and Grey Goose-sponsored bash.

Rosario had to cooperate since McAvoy’s character loves his women groomed ‘down there,’ which she expressed her displeasure with, as she also revealed her moniker for her genitalia!

“Waxing hurts!” she told Vulture. “I wasn’t thrilled about that. The General, she was angry with me for a little while! I should say … hold on … Oh, I’m so embarrassed! … I was thinking, it would be like she was gnarly. She was mad. I don’t know. I can’t think of it. I’m going to get myself in trouble.”

She also mentioned that she had given ‘The General’ a vacation for the cooler months, saying: “Got the winter do going on. I’m happy.”

Trance will be released in UK theaters on Wednesday, March 27th, 2013.
