Recently, singer Rihanna caused controversy when she posted a photo of Queen Elizabeth on her Instagram account to celebrate the monarch’s 91st birthday.

The image in question featured the Queen wearing a revealing outfit, showing off her cleavage.

Additionally, Rihanna also shared three more pictures that depicted the royal in various poses; one with her wearing skimpy denim shorts, another showcasing her long legs, and the third picture showing the Queen wearing a large green fur coat.

The post immediately sparked backlash from Rihanna’s followers, who labeled the photos as “distasteful.”

People took to the comments section to express their disappointment, with one user saying, “Has your account been hacked? Very distasteful joke @badgalriri.”

Another commented, “Queen Elizabeth. The true Queen deserves more respect.”

Another person stated, “Wow you’re disrespecting our queen. I thought you had more about you,” while another questioned, “Why you mocking an old lady?? where is the fun in this?” and another user asked, “Why you messin with queen, sweetie?”

Despite the criticism, it’s worth mentioning that Rihanna has a friendly relationship with the royal family and has even met Prince Harry.

The meeting took place in November to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Barbados’ independence.

A senior royal aide revealed that Prince Harry was informed just 20 minutes prior to the meeting that Rihanna would be present.

The aide stated, “We thought he would be meeting her for the first time at the concert later.”

“He found out just before arriving. About 20 minutes before, that she would be here and sitting near his table.”

The aide added, “Due to the bad weather, there was a certain degree of fluidity in the arrangements, and all the timings had been changed around.”

The events leading up to the meeting may have caused some confusion and may have contributed to the unexpected encounter between Prince Harry and Rihanna.
