Prince Andrew may have contacted Epstein after saying he’d cut ties with paedophile
Newly discovered emails suggest that Prince Andrew may have contacted Jeffrey Epstein after he claimed to have severed all ties with the convicted paedophile in December 2010.
The Duke of York stated in his infamous Newsnight interview in November 2019 that he had not spoken or seen Epstein since their meeting in New York City’s Central Park that month, but documents imply otherwise.
Prince Andrew was first introduced to Epstein in 1999 by mutual friend Ghislaine Maxwell, who is now a convicted s** trafficker.
Despite criticisms for staying at Epstein’s £60 million Manhattan house during his trip to New York in 2010, the royal insisted that it was the last time he ever contacted Epstein.
However, new emails released as part of a US court case suggest that Andrew and Epstein may have had contact several months later.

A report by JP Morgan, which investigated the bank’s former executive Jes Staley and his relationship with Epstein just two months after the New York meeting, stated: “Epstein writes to Staley ‘Andrew asked for your London schedule’.”
This entry could suggest that the pair had contact after Andrew said they had cut ties.
The revelations come amid ongoing scrutiny of Prince Andrew’s friendship with Epstein, who died in prison in August 2019 while awaiting trial on charges of s** trafficking.
Andrew has faced allegations of s**ual misconduct himself and reached an out-of-court settlement with Virginia Giuffre, who claims she was forced to have s** with the royal when she was 17 years old.
In his Newsnight interview, Prince Andrew denied any wrongdoing and expressed regret for his association with Epstein.
However, his responses were widely criticised as lacking empathy and failing to acknowledge the gravity of the situation.
The newly discovered emails are likely to further damage Andrew’s reputation and fuel speculation about the extent of his involvement with Epstein.
They also raise questions about the royal family’s judgement and their handling of the scandal.
Since the Newsnight interview, Prince Andrew has stepped back from his public duties and faced calls to cooperate with US authorities investigating Epstein’s crimes.
