Olivia Wilde bares n^pples at People’s Choice Awards

Olivia Wilde, the director of the film Don’t Worry Darling, made a bold statement at the 2022 People’s Choice Awards on Tuesday night, donning a daring Christian Dior gown styled by Karla Welch.

The sheer gown, featuring a lace lingerie-like bodice and black hot pants, left little to the imagination, and Wilde paired it with an oversize belt.

She completed the look with overlined eyes, tousled hair, and a fresh face, exuding an effortless elegance.

During her acceptance speech for Drama Movie of 2022, Wilde thanked the entire production team for their dedication to the film despite the challenges of the pandemic.

She expressed her gratitude to the crew members who showed up every day and made sacrifices to create a movie that audiences could enjoy.

She emphasized that the award was not for her, but for the entire Don’t Worry Darling family.

“There are just so many people who are so integral to a movie getting made. From our PA team, to our AD department, to our covid safety team to our janitorial staff to our transportation team to the stunt performers.

The stand ins.

All these people showed up and they worked so hard and they made so many sacrifices just hoping to make something you’d enjoy.

So this award means so much to all of us, and it’s a real testament to their hard work. So this is for them.

Thank you guys so so much.”

Wilde’s outfit choice at the People’s Choice Awards was not the first time she has worn a sheer gown to a red carpet event.

At the Governors Awards in Los Angeles in November, she wore a layered tulle Erdem gown with a netted train from the Spring/Summer 2023 collection, paired with sheer opera gloves and Mikimoto jewelry.

This appearance marked Wilde’s first red carpet event since her split from Harry Styles, the lead actor in Don’t Worry Darling.

According to multiple sources, the singer and actress-director were “taking a break” from their nearly two-year relationship.

One insider said that Styles was still touring and going abroad while Wilde focused on her kids and work in L.A.

The sources emphasized that the breakup was amicable, but it was still hard for Wilde.

“The break has been difficult for Olivia,” said one source.

“They have had some issues, but Olivia thought they were gonna work through it all. She is disappointed. It’s just a tricky situation, though.”

Despite the personal challenges, Wilde’s film, Don’t Worry Darling, has been a critical success, receiving positive reviews from audiences and critics alike.

The movie is a psychological thriller set in the 1950s and explores themes of power dynamics, gender roles, and societal expectations.

Wilde has described the film as “a love letter to the female experience” and has emphasized the importance of having a diverse cast and crew to tell this story.

“I wanted to create an environment where people could come to work every day and feel like they were part of something special, something important,” Wilde said in an interview with Vogue.

“I wanted to have a diverse group of people with different perspectives and experiences so that we could tell this story in the most authentic way possible.”

Wilde has been an advocate for inclusivity and diversity in Hollywood, both in front of and behind the camera.

She has been vocal about the need for greater representation in the entertainment industry and has actively sought out opportunities to work with people from marginalized communities.

“I think it’s important for all of us to use our platforms to amplify voices that are often silenced or ignored,” Wilde said in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar.

“We have a responsibility to create a more equitable and just world, and that starts with the stories we tell and the people we collaborate with.”

In addition to her work

in film, Wilde has also been involved in various philanthropic initiatives, including the Time’s Up movement, which advocates for gender equality and the end of sexual harassment and assault in the workplace.

She has also supported organizations such as Save the Children, the ACLU, and the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Wilde began her career as an actress, starring in popular television shows such as The O.C. and House.

She transitioned to directing in 2019 with the film Booksmart, which was widely praised for its sharp writing and strong performances.

The film received numerous accolades, including a nomination for Best First Feature at the Independent Spirit Awards.

Since then, Wilde has been busy working on several projects, including Don’t Worry Darling and the upcoming biopic of Olympic gymnast Kerri Strug.

She has also been cast as the lead in an upcoming psychological thriller called The Watcher.

Despite her many accomplishments, Wilde remains humble and grounded, often using her platform to uplift others and amplify their voices.

She has been praised by colleagues and fans alike for her kindness, generosity, and talent, and she shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

As Wilde herself once said, “I think it’s important to be constantly learning and growing as an artist and as a human being.

I never want to become complacent or stagnant in my work. I always want to be pushing myself to do better, to tell better stories, and to make a positive impact in the world.”
