Olivia Colman, who played Queen Anne in the movie “The Favourite,” shared a story on The Graham Norton Show about an awkward moment that occurred during the filming of a s^x scene between her character and Emma Stone’s Abigail Masham.

Colman revealed that she used a sponge as a prop, telling Stone that it was a “barrier” before the scene began.

Stone’s reaction was one of surprise, and she went “up my leg and went…,” mimicking an expression of shock on Stone’s face.

Colman continued, “It’s all right, it’s a sponge, it’s a sponge!” Colman trusted the director Yorgos Lanthimos “completely” while filming the scene, which she described as “awfully fun” alongside Stone.

The Favourite was released in the UK on January 1, 2019.

Previously, Colman and Stone have praised each other’s performances in the film, with Colman saying, “It was awfully fun having s^x with Emma Stone.” Stone responded, “It was really fun having s^x with you too,” before quickly clarifying, “We didn’t really!” at the Venice Film Festival in August.

The Favourite is a period drama set in the early 18th century, where two cousins (played by Stone and Rachel Weisz) compete for the attention and affection of Queen Anne (played by Colman).

The film received critical acclaim, with Colman winning an Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role.

The movie was directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, who is known for his unique and unconventional style of filmmaking.

Colman previously worked with Lanthimos on the movie “The Lobster,” for which she won a British Independent Film Award for Best Actress.

During the interview, Colman also discussed her experience working on the television series “Broadchurch,” in which she starred alongside David Tennant.

She talked about the challenge of keeping the show’s plot twists and turns a secret, saying, “It was really hard not to tell people.”

Nicholas Hoult, who also appeared on the show, discussed his role in the upcoming movie “Tolkien,” in which he plays the author J.R.R. Tolkien.

He talked about the research he did for the role, saying, “I read all of his works and biographies and listened to his voice recordings.”

Hoult also discussed his experience working on the X-Men movies, in which he played the character Beast.

He talked about the challenge of wearing prosthetics and makeup for the role, saying, “It was a long process, but it was worth it.”
