Nicole Kidman stripped down to her underwear in a new teaser for her next film, The Paperboy, to attract co-star Zac Efron.

The trailer for the film, in which Kidman co-stars alongside Matthew McConaughey, and John Cusack, contains some of the sexiest moments ever, with Kidman – who plays the breathy Southern belle Charlotte Bless – cavorting in a succession of revealing outfits.

She also flashes a prison inmate in the video, a gesture made famous by Sharon Stone in the film Basic Instinct.

In the film, Tom Cruise’s ex-wife portrays Charlotte Bless, an oversexed housewife who writes love letters to a prisoner.

The Paperboy, which is based on Lee Dexter’s novel, portrays Efron as a newspaper writer who returns to his hometown to investigate Van Wetter’s case in the hopes of proving his innocence – but quickly falls in love with Kidman’s character, who is already exchanging love letters with the convict.

The film had its world debut at the Cannes Film Festival in May, and its adult content and themes drew a lot of attention. It is now in limited distribution in the United States and will be released in the United Kingdom in March.

The film has already received praise for its raunchy material, which includes a scene in which Kidman urinates on her co-star to alleviate the agony of a jellyfish sting.
