Nick Cannon says Kim Kardashian ‘broke’ his heart as sex tape leaked
Nick Cannon appears to have had deeper love for Kim Kardashian than originally understood, as the comedian confessed she ‘broke [his] heart’ when she lied to him about her leaked sex tape.
The couple dated around the time when her infamous sex video with ex-boyfriend Ray J was leaked. The “Wild N Out” presenter said on “The Howard Stern Show” in 2012 that the couple split up after Kardashian West lied about the existence of the recording.
Cannon, who dated Kim from 2006 to 2007, stated on the Drink Champs podcast: ”I remember I was really in to her… We was on some serious s***! She broke my heart. Then, it started being these rumors going around that it was this tape. When I asked her about it, she denied it.’
The Wild N’ Out host recalled their romance, saying, ‘People didn’t know, they were like “who’s that chick with Nick? She’s bad”.
Cannon also claimed that he was aware of Kardashian West’s involvement with Ray J, but that her lying about the video caused friction in their relationship. Cannon said that the footage was made prior to their relationship.

Ray J, now 40, allegedly warned him at the time, according to the Masked Singer host.
Cannon explained: ‘I saw Ray J [out on Rodeo Drive]… I was holding [Kim’s] hand and, literally from across the street, he was like “You ain’t gonna wanna keep holding her hand soon, watch!” And I’m thinking he’s just hating!
‘And I’m like wondering why he said that, and then there started to be these little rumors around that there was this tape… I think he was warning [me]’
Kardashian West dated Reggie Bush after their romance ended before marrying Kris Humphries and eventually Kanye West. Cannon got into a feud with Kardashian West and West, which has now been settled, when Cannon told Complex that it wasn’t “far off of a concept” that Kardashian West had sex with Drake. Cannon also mentioned in the “Drink Champs” episode that he plans to go celibate until 2022 after the birth of his seventh kid in June.
