Natalie Portman suffered s*xual terrorism at age 13

Actress Natalie Portman revealed at the Women’s March in Los Angeles that she experienced “sexual terrorism” at the age of 13 after starring in the film The Professional.

She received sexually explicit messages and rape fantasies from men, and movie reviewers talked about her breasts in reviews.

Portman’s experience changed the way she expressed herself publicly to avoid being objectified.

She rejected any role with a kissing scene, talked about her bookish and serious nature in interviews, and cultivated an elegant and conservative style to feel safe.

Portman is one of several actresses who have shared their stories of sexual harassment and abuse in the entertainment industry in recent months.

She wore a Time’s Up T-shirt, representing advocates and entertainers working to end sexual misconduct and gender inequality in the workplace.

Time’s Up is also working with a legal initiative to help those who have been subjected to gender bias, harassment, or abuse gain justice.

Portman spoke at the 2018 Women’s March in Los Angeles, one of many similar events worldwide marking the one-year anniversary of the record-setting slate of marches last year.

The theme in 2018 was “Power to the Polls,” focused on voting and encouraging women to run for public office.

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti estimated that 500,000 people rallied there on Saturday.

The march followed months of debate and activism about sexual harassment in the entertainment industry, particularly after Harvey Weinstein and other powerful men were accused of sexual misconduct.

In early January, actresses wore all black to the Golden Globes in protest to raise awareness about sexual inequality in Hollywood and beyond, with some men wearing black and Time’s Up pins in solidarity.
