“My dad would kill me if I posed n^ked”: Emma Stone

For many actors, n^dty in films can be a huge deal-breaker, and Emma Stone is no exception.

The actress has admitted that she feels uncomfortable doing scenes that require stripping clothes and has firmly held onto this choice since she started her acting career.

However, it was not only out of respect for herself but also out of respect for her parents.

Stone rose to fame through romantic comedy films such as Easy A and Crazy Stupid Love, but it was her work on The Amazing Spider-Man movies with Andrew Garfield and the critically-acclaimed La La Land with Ryan Gosling that propelled her to stardom.

Despite her success, Stone has dealt with body insecurities that greatly affected her mental health.

She has said that reading people’s comments on her physique was draining and bothersome.

When it comes to body image, the actress revealed that she had reservations about doing n^de scenes on the big screen.

Stone is close to her parents, and they have always been supportive of her pursuing acting as a profession.

However, she knows that her father would never approve of her posing n^ked, and he might never talk to her again.

She said, “My dad would kill me if I posed n^ked.

He wouldn’t speak to me again, and I really love my dad, so that’s always something that makes me a little nervous.”

Despite her promise not to perform n^de scenes, Stone later appeared n^ked in the Oscar-nominated period film The Favourite, alongside Rachel Weisz and Olivia Colman.

In the film, Stone portrays a servant who would give up anything to climb the societal ladder.

Although the role did not require her to get exposed, she insisted on peeling her clothes off.

For Stone, it was a personal choice.

The 34-year-old actress is currently gearing up for an upcoming thriller movie entitled The Chain, helmed by Edgar Wright.

In the movie, Stone’s character is a mother forced to kidnap a kid to get her own back but also has to force the other family to kidnap another victim, hence the title.

The movie is expected to hit theaters in mid-2024.

Stone’s hectic schedule reveals that she will reprise her role in Disney’s Cruella sequel.

The actress will also star in two Yorgos Lanthimos projects, Poor Things and And, both films slated for release this year.

It’s not just n^dty that makes Stone nervous on set.

The actress has admitted that doing intimate scenes also makes her uncomfortable.

She said, “I don’t think anyone’s comfortable getting intimate in front of a camera.

It’s not a normal thing to do.”

She added that she tries to stay as focused as possible during those scenes because “it’s very much about the choreography and making sure everyone’s comfortable.”

Despite her father’s disapproval of her posing n^ked, Stone has continued to make personal choices on and off-camera.

Her portrayal of strong female characters in films has been inspiring for many young girls.

She hopes to send a message that it’s okay to be yourself, even if others shame you for it.

She said, “We’re shaming each other, and we’re shaming ourselves, and it sucks.”
