Miles Teller’s Truck Flips in Car Crash

Miles Teller has been involved in a vehicle accident, and he’s not happy about it.

According to TMZ, Miles and his girlfriend, model Keleigh Sperry, were engaged in a car accident in the San Fernando Valley Friday night when his Bronco collided with an Uber. The accident happened at 8:30 p.m. near Whitsett and Moorpark in Studio City, according to LAPD Officer Aareon Jefferson. Teller collided with another vehicle after the driver made a left turn in front of his blue Bronco. Teller’s Bronco flipped over as a result of the collision, however neither Teller nor Sperry were critically injured, according to E! News. Minor injuries were suffered by the second car’s driver and a female passenger. The collision was not caused by drugs or alcohol.

“Me and @keleighsperry are okay,” the “Whiplash” star tweeted on Friday. “I hope the other passengers are as well. The other driver pulled into oncoming traffic and bad accident was unavoidable. This woman’s irrational and ignorant decision put our lives and her passengers in very real danger. Happy we could walk away.”

The Valley Traffic Division also claims that the Uber driver is to fault for the collision.

Teller’s automobile, which he has only owned for a year, may have been damaged as a result. Sperry’s Instagram account is full of photographs of the pair cruising around in their Bronco. When they initially finished personalizing the vehicle on December 16, 2015, she said, “Takin this baby home today! After months of careful construction #bronco.”

This isn’t the first time Teller has been in a serious accident. He got in a car accident when he was 20 years old, between his sophomore and junior year of college, that almost killed him.

“My buddy lost control of my car going 80 mph. We flipped eight times. I got ejected out the window. The car landed and I was just laying like 50 feet from the car, unconscious, covered in blood.” Teller told ABC News, “My buddy thought I was dead.”

Despite the fact that Teller was unharmed, the incident left him with both literal and metaphorical wounds. “I got scars on my face. I still have two rocks in my face,” Teller said. Doctors warned him that removing the pebbles would result in further scarring, but the agony from the collision didn’t stop there.

For more than four years, the actor had laser treatments to help with scarring.

Teller admitted that some of the facial scars he received in the collision hampered his ability to land early-career assignments.

“When I first started auditioning, people were straight up just like, ‘Yeah, Miles is a good actor, [but it] doesn’t make sense for this character to have scars,'” Teller explained. “They [the scars] used to be really bad.”

“And then Rabbit Hole [film director] John Cameron Mitchell was like, ‘I love it. It tells a secret.'”

Teller stars in the new boxing thriller “Bleed For This,” which is based on the true tale of Vinny Pazienza, a world champion boxer who was involved in a car accident and broke his neck. In “Whiplash,” his character is likewise involved in an automobile accident.
