Michael Fassbender talks nud_ scenes, being poor and more
Michael Fassbender arrived at a photo shoot for The Hollywood Reporter wearing dark jeans, a sweater, and a sports jacket.
Despite being out until 2:30 a.m. the night before, Fassbender was in high spirits, joking around and even giving out hugs.
In just two years, the Irish-German actor had established himself as one of the most versatile and in-demand actors in Hollywood.
He discussed his experience filming six movies in 20 months and how he took up skydiving to cope with the stress.
Fassbender’s recent work included the Fox Searchlight indie drama Shame and A Dangerous Method, in which he played a young Jung.

He explained that he took on these roles to challenge himself and to keep himself guessing.
He admitted to feeling nervous about playing Jung but revealed that he read the script repeatedly to prepare himself.
Fassbender also turned to YouTube to study accents and watch interviews with historical figures.
Fassbender’s role in Shame required him to play a s– addict, and he revealed that he met with recovering sex addicts to better understand the character.
He also discussed the experience of filming nue scenes, including a full-frontal scene in Shame.
Fassbender joked that his father was “very proud” of the scene when he watched the movie with him at the Venice Film Festival.
Fassbender also hinted at a potential follow-up to X-Men: First Class, in which he played a young Magneto.
He praised the film’s focus on relationships and character development over action sequences.
Fassbender’s path to Hollywood stardom was not an easy one. After moving to London to attend the Drama Centre at age 19, he struggled to make ends meet.
He lived in a studio apartment with a hole in the window and took odd jobs to pay the bills.
Despite occasional television roles, he found it difficult to break into the industry. However, he never lost sight of his goal of becoming a successful actor.
Fassbender’s perseverance paid off when he landed a role in HBO’s Band of Brothers in 2001.
He went on to appear in British television shows and commercials before making his way to Hollywood.
As for the future, Fassbender remained focused on his craft.
He expressed a desire to continue challenging himself and taking on different types of roles.
When asked who his Oscar date would be, he joked that he would take his mother down the red carpet.
