Meghan Markle Did Conduct Interviews for Archetype Podcast, Executive Confirms
After a failed audio transaction worth £15 million, an executive has come to the defense of the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, dismissing rumors that she did not personally conduct interviews for her Archetype podcast.
The rumors began to circulate after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were unable to secure a contract with Spotify.
According to a report by the Daily Express in the United States, the rumors suggested that Meghan did not attend the celebrity one-on-ones herself.
However, Andy Cohen, an executive at Bravo, has confirmed that he spoke with Meghan and that she most certainly interviewed him.
He called the rumors “completely ludicrous” since the podcast consists of interviews with many people.

The Archetype podcast, which launched on Spotify a year ago, immediately topped the platform’s charts.
Meghan interviewed various celebrities, including Mariah Carey, Serena Williams, and Paris Hilton, and discussed negative stereotypes that affect women in today’s society.
The show won multiple awards, but interest began to wane after the announcement that there would not be a second season on Spotify.
Meghan’s talent management at TMAE released a statement to The Wall Street Journal, saying that the team behind Archetypes remained proud of the podcast they created at Spotify.
They also mentioned that Meghan is continuing to generate more content for the Archetypes audience on a different platform.
The announcement came at the same time as the news that Spotify would be cutting off approximately 200 employees who worked with podcasts due to difficulties turning a profit from the medium despite its popularity.
There was no mention of a second season of Archetypes in Meghan’s closing remarks, which came at the end of the show’s twelfth and last episode.
However, rumors have surfaced that the Duchess is getting ready to revive her health and lifestyle site, known as The Tig, to compete with Gwyneth Paltrow’s own brand, Goop.
Since Meghan and Harry severed their ties with the royal family in 2020, they have been involved in a number of ventures that have brought in substantial amounts of money.
These include the failed contract with Spotify and the one with publisher Penguin Random House, which saw the release of Prince Harry’s explosive memoir Spare and was reportedly worth £15 million.
Additionally, the couple inked a deal with Netflix worth an astounding £70 million, which allowed them to release a six-part docuseries detailing their love, marriage, and eventual separation from the royal family last year.
In conclusion, the rumors that Meghan Markle did not personally conduct interviews for her Archetype podcast have been debunked by an executive at Bravo.
