Meghan Markle approves of Priyanka Chopra’s engagement

Meghan Markle, Priyanka Chopra’s close friend, is totally supportive of her engagement to Nick Jonas.

A source informed E! News that the Duchess of Sussex is “very excited” for the pair. “Everyone is very happy,” the insider continued of the couple’s inner circle. “They are definitely a great match.”

Priyanka Chopra and Meghan Markle have been friends for a long time, and the Bollywood star attended the former Suits actress’s wedding to Prince Harry in May of this year.

We can’t help but wonder whether there will be a royal appearance at the future Mr. and Mrs. Jonas’ event.

Though Priyanka attended the royal wedding alone, we hope Meghan invites Prince Harry to her wedding.

However, due to her hectic schedule, the Duchess of Sussex may be unable to attend the occasion.

Priyanka recently went on record to congratulate her buddy on bearing the pressures of fame and assuming the job of a lifetime as a Duchess.

During an appearance on The Jenny McCarthy Show, she said, “She’s always been someone who’s so just aware and interested in the world.”

“I met her three or four years ago and that’s what we bonded on—was how much we feel like we contribute to that as public people. I really feel like that’s what she was born to do and I hope this gives her the opportunity do that.” Clearly, Priyanka’s got Meghan’s back.

According to People, Jonas proposed to Chopra last week in London, around the time of her 36th birthday. The musician was so determined to find the perfect engagement diamond that he reportedly shut down a Tiffany & Co. store to do it.

While Jonas and Priyanka had known one other for a long time, they only started dating two months ago, according to People magazine, and the connection was serious enough for her to present him to her mother in India.

“We bonded as actors,” Chopra told PEOPLE.

“We just became friends, like two girls would.”

Despite Meghan’s move to England to live with her husband and begin her obligations as a royal, Chopra claims the distance between them hasn’t harmed their connection.

“I think friendships depend on people individually and how personal your relationship is,” she said.

“You can have work friendships, those are different. But when you have real friendships, like ours, it doesn’t matter what people look at you as or where your world goes, you sort of just, stay friends. And I think that’s what we’re like.”
