Meghan and Harry’s Parenting Choices Raise Questions About Royal Protocols

Since the arrival of their son Archie in 2019, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have embraced a protective approach to parenting.

They’ve largely kept their children out of the public eye, prioritizing their privacy amidst a whirlwind of media attention.

Despite being prominent figures, both Archie and his younger sister, Lilibet, have been shielded from the spotlight, which has sparked curiosity among royal watchers.

When Archie’s birth certificate was made public, it revealed an intriguing detail that caught many off guard.

Unlike other royals, Harry was listed as His Royal Highness Henry Charles Albert David Duke of Sussex, with no reference to “Prince.”

This omission stood out, especially when compared to the birth certificates of Prince William and King Charles, who were both referred to as His Majesty for their children.

For instance, William’s birth certificates for his kids clearly state His Royal Highness Prince William Arthur Philip Louis Duke of Cambridge.

Similarly, King Charles is noted as His Royal Highness King Charles Philip Arthur George Prince of Wales on the documents for William and Harry.

The difference in titles raised eyebrows and prompted speculation about the implications of such distinctions.

The birth certificate also clarified some misconceptions surrounding Archie’s delivery.

Contrary to earlier claims of a home birth, it confirmed that Meghan gave birth at the Portland Hospital in London, a private facility known for catering to high-profile clients.

Meghan’s name appeared as Rachel Meghan Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Sussex, with her occupation listed as Princess of the United Kingdom.

Archie made his entrance into the world at 5:26 AM on May 6th.

An official statement from Buckingham Palace at the time confirmed that Harry was present for the birth, alongside Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, who shared in the joy at Frogmore Cottage as she welcomed her first grandchild.

Fast forward to June 4th, 2021, when Harry and Meghan welcomed their second child, a daughter named Lilibet Diana, in Santa Barbara.

Interestingly, Lilibet’s birth certificate presented a different scenario.

It listed Harry as Her Royal Highness, with his surname noted as Her Royal Highness and his first name as the Duke of Sussex.

Meanwhile, Meghan was recorded as Rachel Markle, with Meghan serving as her middle name.

This detail was surprising since they had been informed that they could no longer use their Her Royal Highness titles after stepping back from royal duties in early 2020.

In a quest for clarity, YouTuber Paula M took it upon herself to verify the details surrounding Archie’s birth by reaching out to the Palace.

She was advised to submit a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the House of Commons.

Although there was a delay due to Parliament’s dissolution, she ultimately received a response that raised more questions than answers.

The correspondence revealed that Charles’ office continued to cast doubt on Princess Diana’s credibility even as reconciliation attempts were underway following the release of Andrew Morton’s book.
