Meg Plans Singapore Trip for Wedding Anniversary as Earthshot Destination Leaks

The Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Catherine, are set to embark on a trip to Singapore later this year to attend the final of William’s Environmental Award.

This comes after it was revealed that Singapore has been chosen as the destination for the third annual awards ceremony for the Prince’s Earthshot Prize.

The event, scheduled for November, will see five winners of the Earthshot Prize 2023 receive £1 million each.

In addition to the awards, the ceremony will feature captivating performances by renowned musicians and artists.

Building anticipation, the Prince and Princess of Wales took to their official Twitter page to tease today’s announcement.

Yesterday, they posted, “Where’s the Earthshot Prize heading to in 2023?”

followed by two I’s and a poll.

The poll’s answers spelled out, “We’ll tell you tomorrow.”

This created excitement among their followers, who eagerly awaited the news.

However, before the announcement was made, Megan’s agency, WME, leaked information about her plans to visit Singapore for the Sussex’s fifth wedding anniversary.

It remains unclear whether Megan’s decision is influenced by the Prince and Princess of Wales’ trip, but some speculate that she may be attempting to upstage them, reminiscent of William and Catherine’s visit to the US last year for Earthshot.

This wouldn’t be the first time Megan has made a similar move.

She accompanied Harry to the Ripple of Hope Human Rights Award, making headlines with her presence.

While the exact date of the Earthshot event in November is yet to be confirmed, WME is advising the Sussex’s on their travel plans.

Since Harry and Megan’s departure from the British royal family, there has been little public communication between them and the rest of the family, including Harry’s own brother, father, and late grandmother.

However, on their third wedding anniversary, the Sussex’s have been in touch with Harry’s family.

Princess Beatrice, Harry’s cousin, recently announced her first pregnancy, and Kate, his sister-in-law, made a highly publicized appearance at the Victoria and Albert Museum.

Meanwhile, Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, continued their tour of Northern Ireland, and Catherine and Prince William are scheduled to embark on a tour of Scotland.

Despite these events, Harry and Megan have seemingly been ignored by the royal family.

This has led some to believe that Megan’s plan to visit Singapore could be seen as a retaliation for the family’s neglect of their wedding anniversary.

In a statement on May 15th, Prince William emphasized the importance of the Earthshot Prize, stating, “The Earthshot Prize is all about showing the world that solutions to some of the biggest environmental challenges we face are out there.”

He expressed his delight that the prize will be traveling to Singapore this year, where the groundbreaking solutions of the 2023 finalists will be celebrated.

The Earthshot Prize, which aims to tackle environmental issues, holds significant meaning for Prince William.

He played a key role in launching the Global Initiative in 2020, with support from the Royal Foundation.

The prize draws inspiration from President John F. Kennedy’s moonshot program in the 1960s, which aimed to garner widespread support for the US space program.

The inaugural Earthshot Prize ceremony took place in London, followed by an event in Boston.

This year, the awards ceremony will be accompanied by a series of events during the first Earthshot Week.

Last year’s ceremony in Boston saw guests arriving in hybrid vehicles and encouraged to wear vintage, recycled, or reusable clothing.
