Marlon Brando’s illicit affair with Marilyn Monroe

Marlon Brando, a legendary actor, and ladies’ man, has revealed in his upcoming autobiography, “Brando: Songs My Mother Taught Me,” that he had a long-standing affair with Marilyn Monroe.

In an excerpt published by Parade magazine, Brando claimed that he and Monroe “saw each other intermittently for years.”

He recalled a phone call from Monroe inviting him to dinner, but he was already busy and promised to call the following week.

Tragically, two or three days later, Monroe passed away from an overdose of sleeping pills.

Her death led to rumors that she had committed suicide in a deep depression or been murdered.

Marzieh, a 69-year-old popular Iranian singer, has left her country and expressed her support for opposition leader Maryam Rajavi, who resides in France.

The National Resistance Council of Iran announced that Marzieh had met with Rajavi in Paris and endorsed her.

Marzieh began her singing career in Iran more than 50 years ago, but opposition sources claim that she has been prohibited from performing for the past 15 years.

Rajavi was selected by the opposition to serve as interim president of Iran if the Islamic government is overthrown.

The Paris Opera is being sued for breach of contract by its former musical director, Myung Whun Chung.

Chung, who was appointed in 1979, has accused the Opera of dismissing him “like a 19th-century domestic servant” by terminating his contract six years early.

The Opera countered that Chung was “only a conductor with a future,” not one of the greats. A ruling is expected to be made on Monday.

Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has sold one of his nine homes, a 27-room villa on Sardinia’s Emerald Coast, to a member of the Saudi royal family for $40 million.

Berlusconi is known for his vast wealth, but this sale has made him even richer.

John Wayne Bobbitt, who became famous worldwide after his wife cut off his penis with a kitchen knife in June 1993, will star in his own biopic, “John Wayne Bobbitt…Uncensored.”

In other news, a gang of robbers in Brazil stole a shipment of Covid-19 vaccines, prompting authorities to scramble to replace the stolen doses.

The robbers used explosives to break into a warehouse in Sao Paulo and took off with a truck carrying over 1,000 doses of the vaccine.

The incident occurred amid widespread public frustration in Brazil over the government’s handling of the pandemic and vaccination efforts.

Meanwhile, a massive ship that was blocking the Suez Canal for nearly a week, causing a global shipping crisis, has finally been freed.

The Ever Given, a container ship, became wedged in the canal after being caught in a sandstorm.

It took a team of experts and tugboats to finally dislodge the ship and allow other vessels to pass through the canal once again.

In space news, NASA’s Mars Perseverance rover has successfully converted carbon dioxide from the Martian atmosphere into oxygen, a critical step for sustaining future human missions to the red planet.

The experiment, which was conducted using a toaster-sized instrument called MOXIE, produced enough oxygen to sustain an astronaut for about 10 minutes. NASA scientists say this breakthrough is a “game-changer” for future Mars missions.

On the sports front, the Tokyo Olympics are set to proceed despite growing concerns about the Covid-19 pandemic.

The games, which were postponed from last year, are scheduled to take place in July and August.

However, there are fears that the event could become a super-spreader event, leading to calls for the games to be canceled or postponed once again.

In entertainment news, the nominees for the 93rd Academy Awards have been announced.

Films such as “Mank,” “Nomadland,” and “The Trial of the Chicago 7” have received multiple nominations, with Chloe Zhao becoming the first woman of color to be nominated for Best Director.
