Marilyn Monroe bleached her PUBlC hair

Marilyn Monroe’s hairdresser, Kenneth Battelle, has revealed that the famous actress bleached her publc hair to match her bleached blonde locks.

The revelation was made in Battelle’s notes which were turned into a book after his death in 2013.

The book, titled “Kenneth: Shear Elegance,” recounts Battelle’s rise to fame as a hairstylist, with clients that included Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Judy Garland, Audrey Hepburn and many more.

According to Battelle, he first met Monroe in 1958, when she was in her apartment wearing nothing but a bathrobe.

Battelle was called in to help fix her hair, which was falling out due to all the bleaching and perming she had done for the film “Some Like It Hot.”

“She became my favorite steady client,” he said, according to the Daily Mail.

“She had wonderful hair; she had wonderful everything.

“She was one of the greatest people I’ve ever known.”

The relationship between Monroe and Battelle seemed to grow quickly.

In 1959, before the premiere of “Some Like It Hot,” they shared an intimate moment together when a film executive spilled Champagne on Monroe’s beige silk dress, rendering it transparent.

Battelle suggested that she put on some underwear, but Monroe did not want to wear panties since they would show through her dress.

So Battelle suggested an old formula for decolorizing hair to bleach her publc hair so that nothing would show through when they switched on the bright lights.

“I hear Jean Harlow didn’t wear underwear, either — but she used to bleach her [publc] hair so it wouldn’t show through,” he said.

“So I went downstairs to the hotel drugstore and bought her powdered milk of magnesia, 20% peroxide and spirits of ammonia. I told her, ‘Now go in the bathroom and bleach.’”

Battelle also styled Monroe’s hair for her infamous 1962 performance of “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” for President John F. Kennedy.

In addition to being her hairstylist, Battelle was also a close friend of Monroe’s, and even saved locks of her hair in a box which went up for auction last year.

It seems that Monroe made dying her publc hair part of her regular beauty routine.

According to Lena Pepitone, Monroe’s longtime maid, the actress would spend an unusual amount of time in the bathroom.

Pepitone wrote in her book, “Marilyn Monroe Confidential,” that she once walked in on Monroe bleaching her publc hairs blonde.

“One day, I found her perched on the toilet, legs up, performing an elaborate ceremony with a bottle of some chemical and two toothbrushes.

She was bleaching her publc hairs blonde,” wrote Pepitone.

Monroe’s hairdresser also commented on her beauty routine in the book, noting that the actress was a perfectionist when it came to her appearance.

“She was a creature of perfection,” he said.

“She never forgot a detail, and she was so beautiful. I mean, when you got up close to her, she was so perfect.”

Monroe’s beauty has been the subject of fascination for years, with many people trying to emulate her look.

In fact, her signature blonde hair color is still popular today.

According to celebrity stylist Chris Appleton, Monroe’s hair color is a timeless classic that can be customized to suit each individual.

“Marilyn Monroe’s hair color has been iconic for decades and is still a timeless classic today,” said Appleton.

“It’s a warm, golden blonde that can be tailored to each individual.

The key to achieving the perfect Marilyn Monroe shade is finding the right tone and placement for your skin tone and features.”
