This summer, another Tarzan adaptation will be released, but it won’t be the 1999 Disney animated film from your childhood. For one, the Disney version didn’t have a shirtless Alexander Skarsgrd rubbing up against animals in cargo capris, his muscles looking like they were chiseled out by Michelangelo himself. Its Jane is likewise a badass, maybe more so than any of the previous Janes in the Tarzan films. Oh, and this Tarzan film is expected to be a lot steamier.

The Legend of Tarzan couldn’t get any more exciting.

Director David Yates describes an on-set blunder involving his Tarzan and Jane, Alexander Skarsgrd and Margot Robbie, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

“They’re doing this love scene together, and I said [to Robbie], ‘Just slap Alex while you’re making love, just kind of give him a punch,’’” Yates says.

The situation did not go as planned. “It was sort of an earthy, sensual moment of her enjoying sex with Alex, and the only bruise he picked up during the entire shoot was probably that punch from Margot. Which says a lot about her feistiness.”

Fortunately, Alexander was unaffected by the injuries.

The Wolf Of Wall Street star, who previously featured in the serial drama Neighbours, wowed the True Blood actor, who believed she was the perfect woman to portray Jane.

‘It was very important that we didn’t want it to feel archaic or dated, where it’s like, tough guy has to save the poor girl,’ he says.

‘You have to feel that she’s strong and independent, and when you cast Margot, you’ll definitely get that.’

“If you enter the jungle with anybody, you want to go with Margot Robbie,” Yates added. “She’s practical, and she’s smart, and she’s resourceful. And she can take care of herself.”

Margot Robbie’s Jane can be seen in the teaser for the forthcoming Legend of Tarzan talking back to the wicked Christoph Waltz, giving us a brief insight into her anti-damsel in distress. She clearly has a lot of fight in her in the bedroom as well (or wherever in the jungle they do the deed).

This just validates our concerns that Harley Quinn is capable of defeating Tarzan in a battle.

Tarzan and Jane’s love story, which was portrayed in Edgar Rice Burroughs’ series of novels, has been adapted into a number of films throughout the years.

The Legend Of Tarzan, on the other hand, takes a somewhat different approach to the story of the character, who is adopted by apes after his parents die and goes on to become Lord of the Jungle, and his great love.

Tarzan, who has now abandoned the jungle for a livelihood that does not entail hanging from trees, returns to the Congo as an emissary later.

However, after finding that his now-wife Jane and pals are in danger, he finds himself relapsing to his wilder ways.

Christoph Waltz plays the evil Captain Leon Rom in the picture, which also stars Djimon Hounsou, Samuel L. Jackson, and Jim Broadbent.

The Legend of Tarzan will be released on July 1st.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Skarsgard said that he was impressed by Robbie’s talent and dedication, and that he enjoyed working with her on the film. Skarsgard also praised Robbie’s physical abilities, saying that she was able to do her own stunts and that she was very athletic.

Robbie, meanwhile, has said that she admires Skarsgard’s work ethic and that he is a great scene partner. In an interview with People magazine, she said that Skarsgard was very focused and committed to his work, and that he was always prepared and professional on set.

Not the first time..

In 2013, while filming the movie American Hustle, actress Jennifer Lawrence accidentally hit co-star Bradley Cooper in the face with a book. The scene called for Lawrence’s character to throw a book at Cooper’s character in anger, but she ended up hitting him too hard and giving him a black eye.

Cooper was reportedly good-natured about the incident and didn’t hold it against Lawrence. In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, he joked that he was “lucky” to have been hit by Lawrence and that he would “take one for the team” any day. Lawrence also apologized for the mishap and said that she felt terrible about it.

Despite the accident, Lawrence and Cooper have a good working relationship and have spoken highly of each other in interviews. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Cooper praised Lawrence’s talent and dedication, and said that he enjoyed working with her on American Hustle. Lawrence, meanwhile, has said that she admires Cooper’s work ethic and that he is one of her favorite co-stars to work with.

The incident of Lawrence accidentally hitting Cooper in the face is just one example of the challenges and accidents that can occur on movie sets.
