During a visit on ‘The Tonight Show’ on Thursday, October 7, Madonna exposed her bottom and gyrated on Jimmy Fallon’s desk, causing outrage on social media.

The singer spoke with Jimmy Fallon about her Madame X show, which was recently turned into a concert film.

‘Madame X’ previously confessed that she likes guys to “f*** me then get out” and boasted that she is “known” for self-pleasuring on stage, according to MEAWW.

During the show, the artist revealed that author and activist James Baldwin inspired her Madame X presentation, which is currently available as a concert DVD. She told the late-night presenter, “One of the things I quote over and over in the show is that ‘Artists are here to disturb the peace.’ I hope that I have disturbed not only your peace this afternoon, but people’s peace while they watch the show—but I mean that in the best way.”

“You get in good trouble,” Fallon says of the pop star. Madonna, who was dressed in a black minidress with lace stockings, jumps up very quickly and lays across his desk, which surprised the presenter.

A noticeably flushed Fallon goes into a visible panic. “No, no!” the TV personality can be heard saying in between cheers from the audience. “Why would you?!” Fallon adds.

While it’s unclear if this was planned or unplanned, it was a hilarious moment when he removed his suit jacket and attempted to cover her bottom with it.

“No one’s gonna see anything, my God!” Madonna quipped on the way back to her seat. Except she did it in one quick, not-so-subtle gesture, lifting her skirt and facing the audience.

“Artists are here to disturb the peace.”

The majority of the comments on the “Tonight Show” segment were positive. Madonna’s fans showered her with plaudits like “eternal legend” and “the real Queen of Pop,” and she was showered with heart emojis. “She is pretty, but I think she is old and some fat,” was the harshest remark.

As Madonna walked back to her seat, the audience shouted and applauded. “Life is not just about interviewing kitties. Don’t you want to talk to an adult? Let’s have some adult conversation,” she told Fallon. When he asked if she was “talking to an adult right now,” Madonna responded, “I’m not sure… I feel like you’re in some kind of conflict right now. Have you been to a therapist?” She then expanded on her own experiences in therapy. “I write… it’s a form of therapy… And I also hope that I have good friends… I talk my s**t out with people. That’s a kind of therapy, don’t you think?” she said. At some point during the interview, the conversation turned to the subject of smoking. When Fallon asked Madonna if she vapes, she quipped, “I like opiates!”

Fallon expressed his admiration for the great entertainer, “I really do mean this—I love you and I’m honored to have you here… You’re one in a million.”

Perhaps the press was to blame for some of the sharpest criticism. The British tabloid Daily Mail Online retweeted a clip from “The Tonight Show,” with the caption: “Madonna, 63, leaves ‘Tonight Show’ viewers cringing as she flashes her bottom and gyrates on Jimmy Fallon’s desk.” One self-described misanthrope (at least, that’s their Twitter handle) defended Madge, saying, “I’m not even a fan [but] I hope people stop putting her down for everything she does just because she’s older.” Others were dismissive of the RT, tweeting things like “As you get older, it seems better to be more cultured,” and “Where are her kids to pick her up and take her home?”

However, one Twitter user appeared to comprehend the “Material Girl” of 2021. “She and all of us know that she’s long past her best … but so what? … apparently she enjoys life with a handsome boyfriend of 27 years of age, so, some men still appreciate her body! … (and money!)”

Madonna has always been a divisive figure. She was one among the first to promote wearing underwear as outerwear, and in the 1990s, she released “Sex,” a coffee table book with a title (and pictures) that left no room for interpretation. Despite her song, Madonna has never been “like a virgin,” and aging gracefully is so old century, and she’s not having it. After all, she’s presently dating a man 36 years her junior.
