Actress Lindsay Lohan has come to the defense of disgraced movie producer Harvey Weinstein, saying that she feels “very bad” for him and that she thinks the allegations of sexual misconduct against him are “wrong.”

Lohan, who starred in movies distributed by Weinstein’s company, made the comments in an Instagram video that was quickly deleted but shared on social media.

“Hi, this is Lindsay Lohan, I’m in Dubai. I’m home,” Lohan said in the video. “I feel very bad for Harvey Weinstein right now. I don’t think it’s right what’s going on.”

She also suggested that Weinstein’s wife, Georgina Chapman, should “take a stand” and support him.

“I think Georgina needs to take a stand and be there for her husband,” Lohan, 31, said.

“He’s never harmed me or did anything to me. We’ve done several movies together. I think everyone needs to stop. I think it’s wrong. So, stand up.”

Weinstein, who was one of the most powerful figures in Hollywood, has been accused by several women of sexual harassment and assault.

In a New York Times report last week, eight women, including actress Ashley Judd, spoke out against Weinstein, accusing him of inappropriate behavior.

On Tuesday, The New Yorker revealed that Weinstein allegedly forcibly performed oral s-x on Italian actress Asia Argento two decades ago.

Actresses Mira Sorvino and Rosanna Arquette also claimed that after rejecting Weinstein’s advances, they were removed from or kept from being hired for projects. Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie also added their own accounts of alleged mistreatment.

In response to the allegations, a spokesperson for Weinstein said, “Any allegations of non-consensual s-x are unequivocally denied by Mr. Weinstein.”

It was reported that Weinstein plans to enter a residential treatment facility.
