Kristen Bell tells her 8-year-old kids about s-x and drugs

Kristen Bell, known for her candid approach to parenting, has revealed that she talks to her two daughters, aged 8 and 9, about drugs, sex, and her husband Dax Shepard’s struggles with addiction.

“There should be no topic that’s off the table for people to talk about,” she said.

Kristen and Dax have been married since 2013 and have become known for their openness in parenting.

Kristen expressed her dislike for the word “taboo” and encouraged open dialogue with her children.

In particular, the actor discussed discussing drug use with her children. Dax Shepard, a recovering addict, has been open about his past struggles with drug and alcohol addiction on his podcast, Armchair Expert.

The couple has opted for complete transparency with their children, making them aware of their father’s past difficulties with addiction.

Kristen believes that being open about “hard topics” is essential, and it only requires a little vulnerability and credit to create an open conversation.

She and Dax hope to teach their daughters the importance of forgiveness and making amends.

“Making amends and apologizing is an important thing in our family, because humans leave carnage wherever they go,” Kristen said.

Kristen continued, “If there’s one thing I want to teach my kids, it’s how to make amends — and that it’s for themselves, so they can like who’s in the mirror a little bit more.”

The couple has been open about other aspects of their homelife, such as their approach to teaching their daughters about intimacy.

In an episode of Armchair Expert featuring Gwyneth Paltrow, Dax talked about his wife’s “ingenious” way of teaching their daughters about sex.

Kristen emphasized the importance of power and consent, telling their daughters that “the woman takes the man’s penis and puts it in her vagina.”

Dax also expressed his “unpopular opinion” about his daughters’ future relationships, disagreeing with the notion of having to protect their virginity.

“My response is, I do not want my daughters to have sex so they can get approval from somebody, but if my daughters are horny and want to have sex, that was my favorite activity, remains my favorite activity,” he said.

Kristen and Dax believe that honesty is the best policy when it comes to parenting, and they hope to raise their daughters with open minds and open hearts.

The couple’s candid approach to parenting has been well-received by many, and they continue to encourage others to be open about difficult topics.

Kristen also opened up about her own struggles with mental health and the importance of seeking help when needed.

She has been an advocate for mental health awareness, and she hopes to teach her daughters to prioritize their own mental health.

“I think it’s important to be proactive about your mental health and to seek help when you need it,” Kristen said.

“I want my daughters to know that it’s okay to not be okay and that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.”
