King Charles III to Temporarily Move Out of Buckingham Palace for Repairs

Britain’s iconic Buckingham Palace will undergo extensive repairs costing a staggering £369 million sterling, or over $412 million.

As a result, King Charles III and his wife, Camilla, will be unable to reside in the palace for the next five years.

The renovation plan includes essential updates to the palace’s wiring, plumbing, and heating systems.

During the repair period, the British monarch and his wife will split their time between various residences.

They will spend three days a week at Clarence House, their current residence, two days at Windsor Castle, and weekends at Sandringham in Norfolk.

Sources close to the King have revealed that he is quite content at Clarence House and has never been particularly fond of Buckingham Palace.

Interestingly, it seems that Camilla, the King’s wife, also shares his sentiment.

She reportedly has no desire to live in the London residence.

Furthermore, King Charles III himself believes that Buckingham Palace is ill-suited for modern living and its maintenance costs are exorbitant.

Since 2003, the monarch and his wife have been residing in Clarence House, located in Westminster.
