Kelly Preston’s last Instagram post was a heartfelt homage to her husband, John Travolta.

The 57-year-old actress, who died on June 22 after a two-year struggle with breast cancer, posted her farewell post.

In June, the actress shared a heartbreaking Instagram photo of herself embracing John and their two children, Ella, 20, and Benjamin, nine, as the family spent Father’s Day together.

A second slide paid tribute to their late son Jett, who died in 2009 at the age of 16 after having a seizure.

Preston wrote beside the two photographs, “Happy Father’s Day to the best one I know, we love you 😘💕.”

The family photos touched fans, with one commenting, “Picture number 2 can’t be sweeter 😍❤️❤️.”

“I love those pictures,” one person wrote. “Thank you for including the beautiful second one as well always so special💕.”

Kelly’s last public appearance was at the New York premiere of the couple’s film Gotti, before she opted to keep her health battle hidden for two years.

Kelly’s death happened 11 years after the couple’s eldest son died of a seizure while on vacation in the Bahamas.

A family representative told People magazine: “On the morning of July 12, 2020, Kelly Preston, adored wife and mother, passed away following a two-year battle with breast cancer.”

Travolta expressed his grief for his late wife in an early Monday morning Instagram message.

“It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer.” He added, “She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many. Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered.”

“Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered. I will be taking some time to be there for my children who have lost their mother, so forgive me in advance if you don’t hear from us for a while.”

“I love you all so much,” John replied in response to his wife’s last photo two weeks ago.

Ella, her daughter, subsequently expressed her grief at her mother’s death.

“I have never met anyone as courageous, strong, beautiful and loving as you. Anyone who is lucky enough to have known you or to have ever been in your presence will agree that you have a glow and a light that never ceases to shine and that makes anyone around you feel instantly happy,” Ella said on Instagram.

“Thank you for being there for me no matter what. Thank you for your love. Thank you for your help and thank you for making this world a better place. You have made life so beautiful and I know you will continue to do so always. I love you so much mama,” she concluded.
