Katy Perry has revealed that she was also asked to strip off for a paddleboarding session with ex-boyfriend Orlando Bloom.

The singer opened up about the infamous n^ked pictures of the actor that were taken when the couple were holidaying in Sardinia in August 2016.

In an interview with Australian radio station KIIS FM, Perry said that Bloom had suggested she remove her clothes too, but she had declined.

“He asked me if I wanted to be [naked] and I was just like, it’s one of those things where I was like, ‘Oh nah’,” she said.

However, Perry did admit to getting n^ked while on their private yacht.

“You know when you’re dating someone sometimes, it’s exciting to be like, ‘Oh should we try and make out over here in this place?’ or what have you,” Perry said.

“And I was just not in the mood. I saved it for the boat!”

Bloom was married to model Miranda Kerr when the photos were taken.

He and Perry broke up six months later.

Bloom joked about the revealing pictures during an appearance on Nick Grimshaw’s BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show in April.

“My poor son! He’s got a lot to live up to,” he said at the time.

“I broke the internet.”

The actor added that he hadn’t expected the photos to be taken.

“It was extremely surprising,” he told Elle magazine.

“I wouldn’t have put myself in that position if I’d thought it would happen.” The pictures of Bloom, which were widely shared on social media, generated a huge amount of media attention.

At the time, Perry tweeted: “Instead of giving energy & eyeballs to dumb conspiracy, check out how cool this is.” She included a link to Bloom’s work with UNICEF, the United Nations Children’s Fund.

Perry is currently promoting her new album Witness, which was released on Friday.

The singer has said that the record is more personal than her previous work, describing it as “liberated, goofy and fun”.

Meanwhile, Bloom has been busy shooting his new film, Smart Chase: Fire & Earth, in China.

The actor was recently involved in a minor car accident near the set of the movie.

Following the crash, Bloom was photographed being treated by paramedics at the scene.

After the split, Perry and Bloom have remained on good terms.

The singer has previously described the actor as “a great anchor” in her life.

“It’s important to me that I’m happy and that we’re happy and everyone’s in a good place,” she said in an interview with ELLE UK earlier this year.

“We’re adults and we’re making our way through life. Sometimes you just have to take your time.”

Perry has been linked to several men since her break-up with Bloom, including musician John Mayer and actor Ryan Phillippe.
