Kate Winslet, the Hollywood actress known for her roles in films such as “Titanic” and “Revolutionary Road,” recently experienced a wardrobe malfunction at a birthday party.

The 39-year-old actress wore a tight-fitting dress to the event, but encountered a problem when the full-length zip snapped while she was using the toilet.

In an interview with Vogue.co.uk, Winslet explained the embarrassing incident. She had been feeling great at the party and her husband, Ned Rocknroll, had helped her into the dress at home with no issue.

However, when everyone started to move into the dining area for dinner, Winslet needed to use the restroom.

She unzipped the dress from the bottom, used the toilet, and stood up to zip it back up.

Unfortunately, the zip came off in her hand, leaving her standing there in her underwear and heels, essentially wearing a black cape.

Winslet, who has three children – Mia, 14, and Joe, 11, from previous marriages, and Bear, 16 months, with Rocknroll – admitted that the embarrassing incident has convinced her to avoid wearing zip-up dresses to any future red carpet events.

“I am never getting on the red carpet in a dress with a zip,” she said.

Despite the embarrassing situation, Winslet was able to find some humor in it. She explained that all she could do was stand there, look at herself in the mirror, and laugh.

“The dress opens all the way – the whole f****** thing!” she said.

While wardrobe malfunctions are never ideal, it seems that Winslet was able to handle the situation with grace and humor.

It’s likely that she’ll be more careful with her clothing choices in the future, but for now, she can look back on the incident and laugh.
