Actor Jon Hamm has expressed his unhappiness about the constant jokes being made about what he has in his pants.

The star of Mad Men has been the subject of much speculation and rumour over the size of his D, with headlines such as “Jon Hamm’s D is too big for clothes” appearing online.

However, while the 44-year-old actor admits that most of the jokes are tongue-in-cheek, he is unhappy with the “prurience” of the situation.

In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Hamm says: “But it is a little rude.

It just speaks to a broader freedom that people feel like they have – a prurience.”

The speculation about Hamm’s private parts started after some websites began noticing a large bulge in many photos of the actor.

This led to an “AMC insider” telling the New York Daily News that the bulge was causing problems on the set of Mad Men.

The insider said: “The season takes place in the 1960s, where the pants are very tight and leave little to the imagination.

John’s impressive anatomy is so distracting that they politely insisted on underwear.”

One Tumblr page, called “Jon Hamm’s Wang”, has been posting photos of the actor for over two years now, but Hamm is not amused.

He says: “They’re called ‘privates’ for a reason. I’m wearing pants, for f—‘s sake. Lay off.

“I mean, it’s not like I’m a f—ing lead miner. There are harder jobs in the world.

“But when people feel the freedom to create Tumblr accounts about my c—, I feel like that wasn’t part of the deal …

“But whatever. I guess it’s better than being called out for the opposite.”

Hamm has also commented on the paparazzi, saying that he tries to avoid being photographed whenever possible.

He says: “If you’re being followed around by a bunch of strangers all the time, that’s unsettling.

“It’s doubly unsettling if they’re being really nice to you, because they’re being fake.”

Regardless, Hamm does admit that he is aware of the benefits of his famous bulge.

He tells Rolling Stone: “Would you want people walking up to you and pointing at your d—? I can’t believe I’m still talking about this.

“But I’ve worn underwear every day of my life and the fact that I’m painted as this exhibitionist is a little annoying.

“But whatever. I guess it’s better than being called out for the opposite.”

The actor has also spoken about his role as Don Draper in Mad Men, which is currently in its final season.

He says that he is going to miss the show, but that he is looking forward to moving on to other things.

He says: “I think it’s going to be a little surreal.

“It’s been a big part of my life for the better part of a decade.

“It’s going to be a little weird, but I think it’s time.

“I’m looking forward to the future.”

Hamm has starred in a number of films over the years, including Bridesmaids and The Town, but it is in his role as Draper that he has become a household name.

Despite the fact that the character is often seen as a womaniser, Hamm says that he has learned a lot from playing Draper.

He says: “I’ve learned a lot about myself, to be quite honest. I’ve learned a lot about acting.

“I’ve learned a lot about people. I’ve learned a lot about life.

“It’s been a pretty incredible experience.”

Hamm’s Rolling Stone interview is the first time he has appeared alone on the cover of the magazine, and it has been widely praised.

The actor is known for being private and rarely giving interviews, but he does express some of his thoughts on fame in the magazine.

He says that he tries to avoid being photographed when he is out in public, and that he is aware of the negative side of being famous.

However, he does admit that there are benefits to being well-known, and that he is grateful for his success.

In the interview, Hamm also discusses his relationship with his ex-girlfriend, Jennifer Westfeldt, who he split from last year after 18 years together.

He says that the break-up has been difficult, but that he is doing OK.

He says: “It’s hard. It’s hard to be single after being together for a long time. It’s really hard. It sucks.”

Hamm has a number of projects in the works, including a new film called Marjorie Prime, which is due to start filming later this year.

He also says that he is looking forward to taking some time off after Mad Men has finished.

He says: “I’m going to take some time off. I’m going to travel. I’m going to read. I’m going to sleep.”
