Johnny Depp says ‘human feces’ in bed Was Last Straw in Marriage to Amber Heard

Johnny Depp testified in a London court on Friday that his ex-wife Amber Heard’s accusations that he mistreated her changed him from “Cinderella to Quasimodo” in the public view.

He further claimed that the couple’s turbulent marriage ended for good after feces were discovered in their bed during a party.

Depp was nearing the end of his testimony in his libel case against a British tabloid publication that accused him of violently assaulting Heard. The actor is suing News Group Newspapers, the publisher of The Sun, and the paper’s executive editor, Dan Wootton, for an April 2018 piece in which he was referred to as a “wife-beater.”

In the witness box before the High Court, Depp detailed a tumultuous relationship with Heard that devolved into screaming bouts that occasionally became violent. He has, however, categorically denied striking Heard and has accused her of building a dossier of false allegations against him as a “insurance policy.”

Depp, 57, and Heard, 34, met on the set of the 2011 comedy “The Rum Diary” and married in February 2015 in Los Angeles. The next year, Heard, a model and actress, filed for divorce and won a restraining order against Depp on the grounds of domestic abuse. In 2017, the divorce was finalized.

The “Sleepy Hollow” actor accuses News Group Newspapers and its executive editor, Dan Wootton, of slandering his character and harming his career by relying on Heard’s “sick” allegations.

One of the reasons for the couple’s split, according to Depp, was when a cleaner discovered faeces in a bed at their L.A. penthouse the morning after Heard’s 30th birthday party in April 2016. Heard claims the couple fought after the party and Depp threw a magnum wine bottle at her.  He flatly denies it.

Heard accused the couple’s Yorkshire terriers, Pistol and Boo, but Depp was certain it was a person’s.

“It was not left by a three- or four-pound dog. I was convinced that it was either Ms Heard herself or one of her cohorts involved in leaving human feces on the bed,” he said.

He admitted that he chuckled at the “absurd” situation at first, with one text message referring to “Amber Turd.”

“I wanted nothing to do with her,” Depp explained. “I thought that was an oddly fitting end to the relationship.”

The court heard from a text message Depp sent Heard following their divorce in which he offered “all my love and regrets… I wish you nothing but good.”

“That is what I felt,” he said. “I didn’t think there needed to be any poison at that time, because the bad part was over, which was the relationship, and now we just had to finish it.”

A lawyer for The Sun recounted a “three-day ordeal of assaults” in which Depp allegedly assaulted his ex-wife numerous times during a 2015 vacation to Australia. According to the actor’s counsel, Sasha Wass, the actor broke glass bottles in the couple’s leased residence, yelled at the actress, pushed her onto a table, slammed her head against a refrigerator, broke a window, snorted cocaine, and drank Jack Daniel’s straight from the bottle.

He said he came to feel he was in a “constant tailspin” and recalled telling Heard several times: “Listen, we are a crime scene waiting to happen.” But he denied being violent.

By June 2016, Depp stated that he had grown “quite bitter” because he thought he was being publicly portrayed as a “wife beater.”

“I went, if you’ll forgive the analogy, from Cinderella to Quasimodo in 0.6 seconds, and I was without a voice,” he explained.

The Sun’s defense is based on 14 claims of Depp’s abuse made by Heard between 2013 and 2016. He categorically rejects all of them.

Depp has rejected Heard’s accusations that he abused her while high on drugs and booze on his own island in the Bahamas, a leased property in Australia, and the couple’s Los Angeles penthouse.

Wass described another vicious incident that reportedly occurred in the couple’s apartment in December 2015 on Friday. She said Depp was “in an uncontrollable rage” when he hurled a decanter at Heard, slapped her, grabbed her hair, threatened to murder her, and head-butted her, resulting in two black eyes.

Heard, according to Depp, was the aggressor, and he had merely sought to restrain her “to stop her flailing and punching me.” He said he may have accidentally head-butted her, but he denied inflicting her injuries.

Depp accuses Heard of cutting his fingertip with a vodka bottle thrown at him. She flatly denies it.
