Hollywood actor John Travolta has been accused of having a secret six-year affair with his male pilot, Doug Gotterba.

The alleged relationship took place in the 1980s before Travolta’s marriage to Kelly Preston in 1991.

According to reports, Travolta was dumped by Gotterba after he piled on too much weight and suffered from personal hygiene problems.

Joan Edwards, who worked as Travolta’s secretary from 1978 until 1994, stated: “Of course I knew John was gay.

Doug is a wonderful guy and we are still good friends.

He told me they had a s**ual relationship.”

Gotterba’s former boyfriend, Robert Britz, also confirmed the news saying: “Doug told me he’d had a homosexual ­relationship with John in the 1980s.

Doug said John was constantly grabbing at him, but he put up with his s**ual advances because working for him was lucrative.

But John’s advances eventually started to repulse him.

Doug said he hated sleeping with John as his body was very hairy and he didn’t like the way he smelled.

John would also become very heavy between movies.

Doug said he was huge and it turned him off.

The relationship ended shortly thereafter.”

Travolta, who is a married father-of-two, has been hit with two lawsuits in recent weeks from male masseurs who have claimed that he made s**ual advances towards them.

The cases have been denied by Travolta’s legal team.

This latest allegation has not been commented on by the Hollywood star, who could not be contacted for a response.

Despite the recent accusations, Travolta has received support from his wife, Kelly Preston, who has dismissed the claims as “ridiculous”.

A spokesperson for Travolta has also stated that the lawsuits are “meritless”.
