Jim Carrey apparently couldn’t wait to get his hands on Alexander McQueen’s new mankini, so he borrowed his girlfriend’s bikini.

To the evident delight of fellow sun lovers, the actor wore fiancée Jenny McCarthy’s bathing suit for a July 4 stroll around Malibu Beach.

Carrey, 46, was dressed more traditionally for his gender in beige knee-length board shorts as the couple strolled hand in hand down a beach.

Jenny, a 35-year-old former Playboy model turned actress, looked lovely in the black one-piece.

Carrey was taking a break from filming a new version of The Christmas Carol, in which he plays four roles, including Ebenezer Scrooge.

Carrey and his fiancée have ‘very similar senses of humour,’ according to a buddy, who also said, ‘Both have no shame about embarrassing themselves in public for fun. They don’t care what other people think.’

McCarthy has stated that she admires Carrey for his “his capacity to love and take on something that most men would run away from.”

Since December 2005, Carrey has been dating Comedienne, Actress, and Former Playboy Playmate of the Month McCarthy, who has appeared in films such as The Mask, The Truman Show, Me Myself And Irene, and Dumb And Dumber.

The Canadian-American comedian is a three-time Golden Globe winner noted for his zany, slapstick antics and rubber-faced, high-energy approach. He began his career as a stand-up comedian in Toronto, and his first film, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, was released in 1994.
