JFK’s rape of Marilyn Monroe portrayed in new film
Netflix’s new film Blonde, directed by Andrew Dominik, is a biographical drama about Marilyn Monroe, played by Ana de Armas.
While the film does not adhere to historical accuracy, it portrays Marilyn’s sense of loneliness, isolation, and trauma.
Throughout the film, there are scenes that depict her early years of attempted murder by her mentally ill mother and her entry into Hollywood, where she was raped by a studio executive, Darryl F.
Zanuck, during an audition. One of the film’s most disturbing sequences is a rendezvous between Marilyn and President John F. Kennedy in 1962.
Marilyn is seen passed out on a plane from sleeping pills and is shaken awake by a stewardess upon her arrival in New York.

She is then greeted by two Secret Service agents who lead her to a room. Marilyn is initially under the impression that she is being arrested, causing her to collapse at their feet.
“It isn’t sexual, between the president and me. It has very little to do with sex,” Marilyn says as she is driven by the Secret Service agents to an unknown location.
“It’s a meeting of our souls.” She is then taken through a kitchen, down a hotel corridor, and into a room where JFK is lying shirtless on a bed, speaking on the phone.
JFK places Marilyn’s hand down his pants, commanding her to give him a handjob while watching the Friendship 7 rocket launch on television.
JFK then grows impatient and forces Marilyn to perform oral sex on him, calling her a “dirty slut.
” The camera focuses on Marilyn’s horrified face as she performs the act for over a minute.
JFK then violently places his hand over her mouth and throws her onto the bed, jumping on top of her.
The scene ends with Marilyn waking up bruised and battered, throwing up in a bathroom.
The implication is that she was raped. Although there is no record of JFK sexually assaulting Marilyn, the recent Netflix documentary, The Mystery of Marilyn Monroe:
The Unheard Tapes, features numerous supposed witnesses who claim that Marilyn had engaged in consensual affairs with both John F. Kennedy and Robert Kennedy.
Robert Kennedy may have also been present at the time of her death. It is worth noting that JFK is said to have forced himself on White House intern Mimi Alford, as recounted in her memoir, Once Upon a Secret.
