Jessica Alba had a close brush with a creature that would make any human leap out of their skin.

Alba posted video of the scary moment she came dangerously close to stepping on a rattlesnake while posing for photos in front of a monument.

In an attempt to get as close to a statue as possible for the photo, the actress almost trod on the writhing creature, prompting her to scream an obscenity in horror.

Jessica, 39, was standing in a beautiful forested location outdoors. Her photo session, which took place beside a huge terracotta-colored statue of a lady, was covered by tall oak trees. The sculpture was surrounded by green shrubs and situated in an area with reddish mulch on the ground.

“Hey, Jess, we should get one without your mask in portrait mode,” the camera operator says in the video.

The actress can be seen looking peaceful amid a variety of beautiful trees, just before discovering her near closeness to the huge serpent.

Alba looked down as she was removing her covering to find the snake approaching her from barely a few feet away. Then she let out a loud “Ooh, s—t!”

Jessica wore a beautiful outfit consisting of a pair of dark green pants with wide legs and a high waist. Her blouse had a purple flower motif on it and was white. It has ruffled short sleeves. A broad brown belt cinched her in at the tiniest area of her waist, and the actress wore the top tucked into her slacks. Her footwear was a pair of pointed-toed beige mules. She also wore a protective white face mask.

Alba was able to put some distance between herself and the rattler, thankfully.

“There’s a rattle snake, right there,” the person behind the camera says, while another woman goes on to yell, “Oh crap, it’s a rattle snake, get the hell out of there.”

While the Golden Globe contender stayed reasonably cool, her pals could be heard shrieking behind the scenes.

She captioned the video and a close-up image of the snake, ‘When u unknowingly walk over a 5ft rattle.’

Several celebs reacted quickly to the terrifying event.

“Holy Moly,” wrote Rebecca Gayheart, while Jackass star Johnny Knoxville commented, “Close one. Thank god he was all stretched out and not coiled up.”

Mike Colter, who plays Luke Cage on Marvel’s Luke Cage, believed the reptile was sick. “It must have been sick because that’s not normal. I’m no expert but when you see animals behave oddly there’s a reason. He wasn’t coiled up or trying to move away. Wasn’t startled like it should have been. Didn’t even warn you with its rattling,” he commented.

Her adoring fans were quick to comment on her close contact with her scaly unwitting co-star.

Mad Men actress January Jones wrote, “When getting portrait mode saves your life.

Model April Love Geary said, “But he was probably just as shocked to see YOU standing next to him.”

Honor Warren, Alba’s 12-year-old daughter, whom she shares with husband Cash Warren, is now taller than her mom, Alba said on Instagram on Wednesday.

In the first shot, a teary-eyed Alba, 39, cuddles Honor, while in the second snap, the two have their backs to one other, revealing Honor is somewhat taller than her famous mother.

Alba was capturing her beautiful attire, which comprised a pair of olive green pants and a shirt with puffed sleeves, before her picture shoot was cut short.
