Actress Jennifer Lawrence suffered a wardrobe malfunction while walking up to the stage to accept the award for Best Female Actor in a Film at the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards.

The navy Christian Dior gown Lawrence was wearing separated, revealing the sheer lining between the layers of the dress.

Lawrence momentarily paused and smoothed out her dress before continuing to the stage, seemingly unaware of the issue.

However, a spokesperson for Dior later stated that the separation of the gown was not a malfunction but rather a design feature of the dress, made with different levels of tulle and satin.

During her acceptance speech, Lawrence thanked MTV for giving her her SAG card at the age of 14, when she appeared in a promo for “My Super Sweet 16.”

Lawrence is known for her roles in films such as “Silver Linings Playbook,” for which she won the SAG Award, as well as “The Hunger Games” franchise and “American Hustle.”

The SAG Awards, also known as the Screen Actors Guild Awards, are annual awards presented by the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) to recognize outstanding performances in film and television.
