Jennifer Aniston shares her favorite smoothie recipe

Jennifer Aniston is sharing one of her favorite recipes with her fans: a chocolate protein smoothie.

In a brief video released on her Instagram, the celebrity demonstrated how to make her favorite smoothie to the tune of Bill Whithers’ “Lovely Day”

Aniston makes the smoothie by pouring a cup of chocolate almond milk in a high-powered blender , followed by two scoops Vital Proteins Chocolate Collagen Peptides, pitted cherries, and a banana. She then adds what she calls “antioxidants,” a few drops of stevia for sweetness, and a cup of ice to make it thick and milkshake-like. Though they aren’t seen in the recipe video, Aniston says in her Instagram post that some ingredients, including as spinach, almond butter, and a sprinkle of cinnamon, are “not shown but always added.”

The video drew a lot of attention, with many complimenting how effortless the 52-year-old actress appears and expressing their desire to try the smoothie for themselves. One user said, “If drinking this will let us look like Jennifer we are doing it”, and another commented, “THIS IS MY MORNING GOAL!!!! Jen Aniston is the best smoothie maker ever!”.

Jessica Ball, M.S., RD, assistant nutrition editor at EatingWell, says, “Aniston’s smoothie is full of fiber from the fruits and vegetables, and the protein powder helps give it added staying power. Collagen powder might be helpful for skin, bone and joint health, but powders and supplements can get expensive. If you are trying to boost your collagen intake but maybe don’t have the budget of Aniston, foods like bone broth will do the trick.”

Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body, and it is crucial for skin elasticity as well as general joint and bone health. According to Medical News Today, it is something we naturally develop.

Anniston recently shared another variation of the recipe with Well+Good, explaining that she only eats healthy treats and admitting that this smoothie has “made [her] life.”

“I have a sweet tooth, but only for really healthy things, so this [smoothie] has just made my life—it’s perfect and amazing,” she told the publication.

Jennifer Aniston Shares Her Daily Wellness Practices

Jennifer Aniston is a style, beauty, and health icon. Fans are constantly curious about what the 52-year-old eats in a day, her workouts, and her favorite hair products for a lovely mane.

The Morning Show host shared some new secrets to her self-care and wellness regimen in a recent interview with Shape.

“My mom was a real health fanatic. Growing up, it was no fun to come to my house because it was all cardboard-tasting food,” recalls Jennifer Aniston. “When I moved out, my big rebellion was to stock my fridge with food that had taste — I bought every cereal I’d ever wanted and other crap. Eventually, I started to feel like crap. And I looked like crap. I went to a nutritionist and realized that my mom had been doing me a favor. I committed to being mindful of what I put into my body.”

Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides are her top nutrition secrets. The actress can be seen preparing collagen creamer coffee drinks all over her Instagram, and she even revealed her chocolate smoothie recipe, which we think tastes precisely like our favorite milkshake.

Aniston has created a health practice that enhances both her inner and outer beauty. “Every morning, I walk and feed the dogs. Then I meditate, make my coffee, and journal or write a gratitude list. Only after that do I pull out the phone and allow emails and texts and all the busy business stuff into my brain space,” she says.

“If I only have five minutes,” she adds, “I’ll use them to move my body. Jumping rope is a killer workout.”

“When my trainer, Leyon, whom I love more than life, handed me a jump rope for the first time, I said, ‘You’re out of your mind.’ I would dread doing it and would skip instead of jump over the rope. He kept saying, ‘No, try to do it correctly.’ It was so irritating. But within six months, my jumping became fluid. Now I can just go and go and go.”

A good diet is also an important part of her regimen. “But I treat myself occasionally,” she admits. “Mexican food and a good chopped salad make me happy.”

Even when she allows herself to check social media, Aniston is aware that it might have a negative impact on her mental health and attempts to consume other types of media that make her happy.

“Social media and the news can be really toxic. I was watching way too much during the pandemic, begging for it to be something different, but nothing changed,” she explained.

Her favorite podcast, SmartLess, though, gives her a lift.

“Three of my friends host — Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett — and their chemistry is fantastic. I’d listen to them after filming The Morning Show, which has a lot of heavy material, because it always puts a big smile on my face,” she says.
