Jennifer Aniston Says She’s Ready to Date Again: ‘I Think It’s Time

Jennifer Aniston is ready to fall in love again.

During an interview on the SiriusXM show Lunch with Bruce, the Morning Show star opened up about her love life. The singer announced that she is ready to start dating again after revealing that she is not currently dating anybody.

“No one of of importance has hit” her “radar yet.” However, the TV star said, “I think it’s time. I think I’m ready to share myself with another [person]. I didn’t want to for a long time. I loved really being my own woman without being a part of a couple.”

“I’ve been a part of a couple since I was 20. So there was something really nice about taking the time.”

Aniston explained that she wanted to meet someone the old-fashioned manner after asking presenter Bruce Bozzi if he knew someone to match her up with. “No Tinders and no Rayas, please. I’m an old-school girl,” she explained.

“There it is, chemistry, and you see each other from across the room,” she added, describing the sort of connection she seeks. “People don’t come up to people anymore, people don’t do that. It’s weird.”

Jennifer feels that the first kiss with someone is “pretty important” when it comes to finding a spouse. “That, and also the ease at which the conversation flows the first time. That’s kind of a good indicator,” she said. “Confidence, but not a cockiness. Humor, please, I beg of you. Generous, kind to people. You know, it’s just very few necessities.”

“Fitness is important and not just about, like, how you look … I want to be around here for a long time and not be in a wheelchair when I am 80,” she said.

In a recent interview with People, Aniston, who was married to Brad Pitt from 2000 until 2005, was asked if she would consider remarrying.

“Oh God, I don’t know,” she responded. “It’s not on my radar. I’m interested in finding a fantastic partner and just living an enjoyable life and having fun with one another. That’s all we should hope for. It doesn’t have to be etched in stone in legal documents.”

Jennifer told Kay Adams of PEOPLE (The TV Show!) earlier this month that she would prefer to date someone who isn’t famous. “That’s what I’m sort of hoping for is not necessarily somebody in the industry itself,” she said. “That’d be nice.”

Aniston likes meeting in person versus swiping anonymously, but she’s taking her time when it comes to in-person mingling. Despite the fact that the Friends reunion was nominated for an Emmy, the star skipped the event, admitting in a Jimmy Kimmel Live! interview before of the ceremony that she isn’t ready to jump into too packed post-quarantine engagements just yet. “This is a big step for me to just be here. I’m just [taking] baby steps,” she said.
