Jenna Bush Hager admits she doesn’t wear underwear
Jenna Bush Hager’s co-host, Hoda Kotb, made a surprising revelation about her friend on Wednesday’s episode of Today with Hoda and Jenna.
While the show was getting ready, Kotb discovered that Bush Hager “never wears underwear.#
” Kotb told the audience that she was surprised, given how close the two are.
“I just had a little shock with it,” she said, recalling the moment she noticed.
However, Bush Hager defended her choice, saying it made a “more pretty silhouette,” and joked that she was sure her mom, former first lady Laura Bush, was proud.

During the same show, Kotb also noted that their wardrobe supervisor said that not wearing underwear made life a lot easier.
But Kotb did point out that there were some downsides.
“It’s a lot of washing of clothes, over and over,” she noted. Bush Hager, however, didn’t seem too concerned. “Yes, I do [wash my clothes],” she said.
“But it’s also not like I’m sharing your jeans with you. Though I do steal Savannah [Guthrie]’s pants on occasion.”
The show is filming in front of a live audience at Studio 6A in New York City, where they previously filmed.
The hosts are thrilled to be back in front of an audience. “We miss it and we love it,” said Kotb.
“This is so important to us but there’s something about sitting among the people you love.”
Bush Hager added that they missed their audience and that people seem to crave connection now that the world is opening up again.
The Today with Hoda and Jenna show has seen the hosts open up about parenting and relationships this week.
Kotb revealed earlier in the week that her 5-year-old daughter, Haley, was transitioning from pull-ups to underwear.
“Haley’s now going to be wearing undies and not pull-ups, so [yesterday] was the last day,” Kotb said. “I started to feel some melancholy feelings, I said, ‘Guess what?
Tomorrow’s a new chapter. It’s all going to be brand new. Here we go.'”
Bush Hager has been co-hosting the show since 2019.
During the show, she also asked Kotb if she could borrow her red suit, joking that she would wear underwear. Kotb replied, “Yes, you can, anytime.”
