Jaws star Richard Dreyfuss’ actor son Ben says he’d never have s** ‘with a fat person’

Ben Dreyfuss, the son of famous actor Richard Dreyfuss, has stirred up controversy on Twitter after declaring that he would never date or sleep with a “fat person” and would encourage his partner to lose weight.

The self-proclaimed writer and comedian made these comments in a thread on January 18th, which started from an unrelated article titled “You need help: You fat-shamed your beautiful girlfriend.”

Dreyfuss, who is 36 years old, began his “schtick” by exclaiming, “That is outrageous!

I’ve never dated a fat person!”

He then proceeded to tweet multiple messages on the topic, claiming that he doesn’t know many fat people and that he wouldn’t have s** with them even if he did.

However, Dreyfuss did add that he would be supportive of his partner if they gained weight and would work with them to lose it.

He also shared that he once slept with a “fat girl” in 2007, whom he met in a cowboy bar.

He claimed that she weighed between 130 to 140 pounds and that he scared her off by telling her he was bisexual when she texted him a week later.

Dreyfuss’ attempt at humor did not land well with his followers, but some found it amusing, including his ex-girlfriend.

Despite this, other followers criticized him for his remarks, with one calling him unpleasant after meeting him once.

Another pointed out that he himself has a glass eye, which he routinely talks about.

According to recent CDC figures, 41.9% of Americans are either overweight or obese.

Dreyfuss commented that a “majority” of Americans are obese, making it hard to talk about fat versus thin without offending someone.

He also said he’s not a “nice person” and doesn’t live on a “butter farm for fatsos,” so people shouldn’t expect him to be nice about the topic.

Despite the backlash, Dreyfuss signed off by clarifying that he did not call anyone obese and that it’s up to a doctor to make such a determination.

He simply expressed that people who are too fat for athletic people in LA and NYC might be attractive at the Iowa state fair.

Dreyfuss has worked as an editorial director for Mother Jones and currently has a Substack page.

He played a young Bernie Madoff in an ABC miniseries about the late fraudster.

However, unlike his father, he has not landed any major movie roles.

In conclusion, Ben Dreyfuss’ comments on Twitter have sparked outrage among some of his followers, with many criticizing his attitude towards overweight individuals.

While he did try to clarify his stance, his attempt at humor did not land well with most people.
