Jason Segel wrote n^ked breakup scene in ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’ after it happened IRL

Actor, author and director Jason Segel has revealed that he wrote the n^ked breakup scene in “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” after experiencing a similar situation in real life.

The actor appeared on “The View” and spoke about his personal check-in, where he moved out of Los Angeles and started writing things he is passionate about.

Segel said that he realised he had not checked in with himself for a decade when “How I Met Your Mother” came to an end, and that he was still writing and acting in the same style as he did in “Forgetting Sarah Marshall”.

Segel added that he decided to write about what he really cared about and has been making movies that inspire magic for a younger generation.

He also spoke about the importance of being nice to those around you, a lesson his parents taught him.

Segel has also written young adult science-fiction novels, which he hopes will encourage children to believe in magic.

In his latest book, “OTHER EARTH”, he writes about questioning your reality.

Segel explained that he observed children walking down the street staring at their phones, so he wanted to write a book about being present and the difference between comparing your real life to someone else’s Instagram stories.

It has been 10 years since the release of “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” but Segel revealed that the n^ked breakup scene is autobiographical.

He said he got broken up with while n^ked and was waiting for his girlfriend to return from the airport.

When she arrived, she told him they needed to talk, and the breakup commenced.

Segel said that halfway through, he had to get dressed and pick an outfit for the second half of the breakup, which turned out to be the worst outfit ever.

He said he thought as soon as she left, he would write the scene, and it worked out.

Segel concluded by saying that he has been making movies he cares about, and it has been a whole new feeling.

He hopes that his work inspires a younger generation, and he plans to continue writing books that encourage children to believe in the magic of life.
