Jane Fonda says director tried to sleep with her

Legendary actress Jane Fonda has revealed that a famous French film director once asked to have s** with her, just so he could see what her orgasms were like.

The 85-year-old made the comments during an appearance on US TV show ‘Watch What Happens Live’.

During a section of the show called ‘Plead the Fifth,’ Fonda was asked to name one man in Hollywood who “tried to pick you up once who you turned down.”

She immediately answered: “The French director René Clément,” referring to the award-winning director of films including La bataille du rail (The Battle of the Rails) and the Oscar-nominated Jeux interdits (Forbidden Games).

Fonda starred in Clément’s 1964 movie Les Félins, but did not name the film.

When asked whether the director’s pass had been “sloppy”, host Andy Cohen was told: “Well, he wanted to go to bed with me because he said the character had to have an orgasm in the movie and he needed to see what my orgasms were like.”

Cohen was incredulous, asking: “Are you kidding me?”

Fonda replied: “He said it in French, and I pretended I didn’t understand.”

When asked who she thought was the biggest misogynist in Hollywood, Fonda refused to answer, saying: “Oh my God… I plead the fifth.”

During the same show, Fonda also revealed she had seen Michael Jackson and Greta Garbo swim n^ked.

She said: “He (Jackson) came and visited me when we were shooting ‘On Golden Pond’ and I had a little cottage on the lake.”

“It was a beautiful moonlit night,” said Fonda, who described him as having been “skinny” after undressing.

The actress then recalled how Garbo had dived into freezing cold water.

“She had the most athletic body,” Fonda said.

Fonda was born in New York City in 1937 to Hollywood star Henry Fonda and socialite Frances Ford Seymour.

She began acting on stage in the late 1950s before moving to Hollywood in the early 1960s.

She won her first Academy Award in 1971 for the film Klute, and then won another in 1978 for her role in Coming Home.

Fonda remains active in both film and TV, and has also become a prominent activist, particularly on environmental issues.

Clément was born in Bordeaux in March 1913.

He began his career as a filmmaker in 1946, but had worked in the French film industry since the mid-1930s.

His 1949 film Au-delà des grilles (The Walls of Malapaga) won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival, and he went on to work with some of the biggest names in French cinema, including Jean Gabin, Alain Delon and Romy Schneider.

He died in March 1996 aged 82.

Fonda’s comments come amid growing scrutiny of Hollywood’s treatment of women, following allegations of s**ual harassment and assault against producer Harvey Weinstein.

A number of other high-profile figures have been accused of similar behaviour, leading to the #MeToo movement and a wider discussion of gender-based violence and exploitation.

Fonda has been vocal on these issues, and has spoken out about her own experiences of s**ual abuse in the past.

In a 2018 interview, she revealed that she had been raped as a child and had suffered years of s**ual abuse.

She said she had decided to speak out because she wanted other victims to know they were not alone.

She added: “I don’t think I’m unique.

I think that this kind of trauma has been repeated throughout history, every since there were human beings.

But it’s only now that we’re beginning to talk about it.”

Fonda has also spoken out against the objectification of women in Hollywood, and has criticised the film industry for its lack of diversity.

She has called for greater representation of women, people of colour and LGBT+ people both in front of and behind the camera.

She has also supported a number of environmental causes, including opposing the Keystone XL pipeline and campaigning for renewable energy.

Fonda remains an influential figure in Hollywood, and her comments on the treatment of women in the entertainment industry have been widely reported.

She has been praised for her activism and for using her platform to raise awareness of important issues.
