The marriage of Hollywood celebrities Will and Jada Smith has been the subject of intense scrutiny since they got married in 1997.

Jada has claimed that their marriage was the result of being forced into it by her mother and that they have an open arrangement.

Images from an afterparty in New Orleans taken around the time of their film’s shooting have also added fuel to the rumors.

The pictures show Smith and Robbie in pictures that could easily be misconstrued as something more intimate than what was being let on.

An insider at the time commented on Will Smith’s behavior around Robbie, further fanning the flames of their alleged rendezvous in the former’s trailer.

Jada Smith defended her husband on Howard Stern’s radio show, claiming that his being attracted to women or commenting on their physicality did not mean he did not love Pinkett Smith.

However, during the 2020 Red Table Talk episode that confirmed Alsina’s claims of the affair happening, the couple revealed that they had taken a break following the affair, after which the couple reunited and were going stronger than ever.

Fan speculation at the time suggested that the rumors surrounding Will Smith and Margot Robbie could have perhaps driven Jada Smith to confront her husband and later have an affair with the 27-year-old rapper during their consequential fallout.

The celebrity duo has appeared in films like Focus and Suicide Squad together and has long been an unlikely candidate for rumors regarding their close relationship with each other.

The friendship that blossomed on the sets of Focus put the then 23-year-old Margot Robbie with the A-lister, Will Smith, as the two spearheaded their first romance crime drama alongside each other.

Rumors started floating around when the pair skipped the film’s wrap party to spend their evening in Will Smith’s trailer.

Margot Robbie vehemently denied the accusations on Twitter, saying, “There’s absolutely no truth to the ridiculous rumor in Star mag…” Over the years, the speculations died down, and reports indicated that the pair were initially hesitant about filming Suicide Squad together, but eventually found their way onto the sets of the David Ayer movie.

The film took the brunt of the steam due to its lackluster execution and similar reception, allowing Robbie and Smith to avoid being the subject of any further controversy.

In a recent interview with GQ, Will Smith addressed the rumors, saying, “We’ve been married for 25 years, and we’ve been together for 30.

“We’ve been through a lot together.

“I don’t think that you can go through what we’ve been through and not have some ups and downs.”

Jada Pinkett Smith also addressed the rumors on her Facebook Watch series, Red Table Talk, saying, “I’m just happy because I think that Will and I have really gotten to that new place of unconditional love.” She added, “I don’t think Will and I have ever really gotten into the clear about what is marriage.

“What is a husband? What is a wife? What are we to each other?”

Jada also discussed how she confronted Will about his alleged affair with Margot Robbie while she was sleeping around with August Alsina.

She said, “I’m asked a lot about, ‘Is there infidelity in your relationship with Will?’” and added, “And it’s like, ‘No, but there have been other betrayals of the heart that have been far bigger than I could even think in regards to an infidelity situation.’”

During the Red Table Talk episode, Will Smith revealed that he was hurt and wanted to get back at Jada after he discovered her affair with August Alsina.

He said, “I was done with you,” to which Jada replied, “I know. I was done with your a** too.”

However, the couple reconciled and seems to be going stronger than ever.
