Jack Nicholson showed up n-ked on set

Shirley MacLaine, the legendary actress, has been promoting her latest film “Elsa & Fred,” which co-stars Christopher Plummer.

However, in an interview with FOX411, the award-winning actress took a moment to reminisce about the former leading men in her life.

She said Jack Nicholson, who she acted alongside in 1983’s “Terms of Endearment,” was a “remarkably talented” and “unpredictable” actor.

According to MacLaine, Nicholson’s spontaneity may have contributed to her legendary performance in the movie.

In one scene, for example, MacLaine knocked on the door and when Nicholson answered it, he was “dressed practically n/de.” In another scene, Nicholson answered the door with a hooker, and in yet another, he had his face smashed up with sugar.

“That’s one of the reasons why I was good in the movie – Jack was always doing stuff that I hadn’t anticipated,” MacLaine told FOX411.

MacLaine won an Academy Award for her portrayal of Aurora Greenway in the movie.

MacLaine, who is 80 years old, plays the energetic Elsa in “Elsa & Fred,” a film about it never being too late to find love.

The movie is set to hit theaters on November 7.

Speaking about the movie, MacLaine said, “You know, what I love about it is the young people are looking at their grandparents for the first time.

Is that what they do? Is this what they actually do? Because we do it.

That’s what the young people seem to like about it because they’re a little in the dark about what the older folks and their families are up to.”

MacLaine’s career spans over six decades, and she has starred in numerous movies such as “The Apartment,” “Steel Magnolias,” and “Postcards from the Edge,” among others.

In addition to her acting career, MacLaine is also a writer, dancer, and activist.

She has written several books, including “Out on a Limb” and “The Camino: A Journey of the Spirit.”

In her memoir, “I’m Over All That,” MacLaine wrote about her life and career.

She said that she has never been one to hold back when it comes to expressing her opinions, and she has always been true to herself.

“I don’t have time to be anyone else,” she said.

“I’m too busy being myself.”

MacLaine has also been involved in numerous humanitarian and political causes throughout her career.

She has been a vocal advocate for women’s rights, environmental issues, and animal welfare.

In 2001, she was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom for her contributions to the arts and her humanitarian work.
