J.Lo and Shakira blasted for disgusting Super Bowl performance

The Super Bowl halftime show featuring Shakira and Jennifer Lopez received widespread criticism, resulting in over 1,300 complaints being sent to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

The halftime show, which aired on Super Bowl Sunday, was watched by families across the United States who had gathered to watch the Kansas City Chiefs face off against the San Francisco 49ers.

However, many viewers were unhappy with the halftime performance, which included pole dancing, twerking, belly dancing, and sexually suggestive gestures.

According to FCC officials who spoke with CNN and WFAA, nearly half of the 1,300 complaints received mentioned that the halftime show was inappropriate, particularly for children.

Some viewers expressed concern that their children had been exposed to a “p=rn0 show,” while others thought the performance encouraged sex trafficking.

One viewer even described the halftime show as an ” strip club performance” rather than a musical act.

Many parents were upset that no public warnings were given before the halftime show, which caused them to have to explain the performance to their children.

One viewer from Utah said, “I had to send my children out of the room so that they weren’t exposed to something they should not have seen.”

A viewer from Washington complained, “I was not prepared to explain to my 11 yo daughter why Jennifer Lopez was dressed so scantily or why she kept grabbing her crotch.”

In addition to concerns about the appropriateness of the halftime show for children, some viewers also took issue with the sexual nature of the performance.

A viewer from New York said, “I have never seen so many s=x poses outside p=rn magazines,” and also mentioned “s=xy tongue wagging” and “butt shaking.”

Another viewer from Wisconsin asked, “What are you teaching young girls? Dance around half naked to make men excited then claim #MeToo for harassment?”

Several viewers also brought up the Me Too movement and sex trafficking in their complaints.

A viewer from Ohio said, “This takes us back to where women get their worth from their sexuality not their brains/personality and I don’t appreciate it on a family friendly broadcast.”

A viewer from Kentucky said, “No wonder there is sex trafficking when you call this family entertainment. And where’s the Me Too women? Do you not see the hypocrisy?”

A viewer from Pennsylvania commented, “With everything going on now with the Me Too movement this is not something that should have been on TV prime time.”

In response to the halftime show, many viewers threatened to boycott not only Pepsi, the sponsor of the halftime show, but also the Super Bowl and the NFL as a whole.

A viewer from Tennessee said, “I will be boycotting Pepsi products and will never watch the Super Bowl halftime show again.”

A viewer from Florida added, “I will never watch another Super Bowl again and will never drink Pepsi products.”

Other viewers expressed similar sentiments, with some saying they would boycott the entire NFL.

Despite the controversy surrounding the halftime show, it is worth noting that not all viewers were unhappy with the performance.

Some viewers praised Shakira and Jennifer Lopez for their talent and entertainment value.

However, the majority of complaints received by the FCC were critical of the halftime show, with many viewers expressing concern about its impact on children and the messages it conveyed.
