For the last few days, a seemingly naked image of US President Trump has been a major topic of discussion on social media, with the image allegedly being leaked online by Anonymous activists.

The photograph depicts a model dressed to look like Trump in a setting designed to seem like the Oval Office, and it was initially created as an art piece by artist Alison Jackson.

This controversial British artist is known for his paintings starring the Royal Family, Kanye West, David Beckham, and others. She frequently photoshops prominent public people into ‘unconventional contaminated’ photographs.

The original version is available in her website’s photo gallery. The words “THIS IS NOT DONALD TRUMP” are written on the lower right of the image in this claim (bit.ly/30tcOFY).

Vanity Fair has provided a slideshow of the photographs she made during the shoot.

The brief description reads: “What Donald Trump does between tweets, taunts, and tirades has long been a mystery. The veil is parted by an artist well known for discerning the scene behind the scenes.”

Jackson told Reuters through Twitter that the image is supposed to be “invasive into Trump’s privacy” and plays on the fact that audiences “can’t help but want to look at other people’s private lives.”

“It’s like a visual gossip… Our voyeurism is propelled into action because of the very nature of photography. Photography seduces into believing it is sure, when we know it isn’t,” she continued.

A number of Twitter users have also taken the effort to refute reports that the president appears in the released photographs.

“Trump’s nudes are fake… part of a satirical photographic art series,” one recently remarked, while another added, “Donald Trump’s nude is a fake, it is an actor made up by artist Alison Jackson.”
